GOTY 2012

Did I really only play 6 games that were released in 2012? I guess so, due to my massive backlog of Steam games and old, cheap games I saw on CAG. I did play a bunch of great older games like DiRT 3, Rayman Origins, Far Cry 2, and the first Uncharted game. I even have a sealed copy of Xenoblade Chronicles that I bought since I was afraid of that game becoming hard to get, like Metroid Prime Trilogy. Too bad this is not a list of games I played this year, this is my GOTY list for 2012. Here we go.

  3. Rock Band Blitz

  4. Super Hexagon

  Only was able to beat the first level but this is a perfect game to play on iOS for a short amount of time. Music it terrific, a perfect fit. I only wish my iPod touch had real buttons...

  5. Syndicate

  A free Redbox game rental led me to this quick 6 hour campaign that was better than I was expecting. They story was forgettable but it felt great to play.

  6. SSX

  I have not played much of this game, only because I have not spent enough time to get used to the controls with an Xbox controller. I played so much SSX Tricky back on the Gamecube and it has been difficult to switch control scheme. From what I did play, its a fantastic game that I do play on digging into during the winter break.

  7. Call of Duty: Black Ops II

  I guess this game was OK but it did nothing new for me, at least for the campain. It was neat that the story had some choice to it but in the end you still save the entire earth from destruction, just like the last 4 times. Also I got the strangest/worst ending so that sucked.

  Almost forgot the Avenged Sevenfold part at the end. Disgusting. Why was that even in the game.
