People always say PC gaming is in danger or it's dying or it'll be gone soon. Bullshit. It's been going longer than any other system and will keep going. At the start of this generation it was a bit patchy due to some bad ports and lack of MS support but now the PC is the forefront of DD. Developers are putting more effort into the PC to make it the platform to play their games on(BF3, Deus EX, Batman Arkham City are all built with extra care on PC and made as the definitive version). Epic is moving back to PC gaming which they've wanted to do for a while, indie games have exploded with higher sales than a lot of blockbuster games. Because this generation has dragged on more and more developers are looking to PC. PC won't die, isn't dead and will get stronger. Simple as that.

That's illegal in Australia they if they didn't remove it or remove it now that it's out(for Australians), Origin might be blocked here.

The Mass Effect team does a great job in listening to fans and changing the games to make them better.

They just canned all the parts people didn't like. They could have fixed them instead.

So the site is down, does that mean this is a bust then?

Yeah, they canned it. :(

Is it really that bad? I use the server list out of steam games all the time and it works fine. Don't freak out. And remember DICE server browsers have sucked.

It's not the DRM that bothers me, it's the crappy port of a game that should shine on a PC. Own goal Ubisoft.

Seriously, the capped 30FPS is bad and weird to say the least but ok, I'd live with it. The lack of settings and options is bad too but my PC should be able to run it ok so it's not the end of the world. But the controls, the controls are FUCKED. And this is a game that looks like t was built with a mouse in mind! It blows my mind at how bad this port is.

I'm glad this disaster of a port(for a game I was very excited to play on PC...) is getting some attention like this on GB. Good job, Patrick.

The PC version of Battlefield 3 will have Camaros - vintage Chevrolet sports cars used as special forces cars in Battlefield 2: Modern Combat - at launch, DICE has revealed.

"After the massive feedback from everyone in the community, we are putting in the Camaros as well, on PC," DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson told Gaming Lives.

"It's going to come in very hot, but it is in the plan to get that done for day one."

PC users will also benefit from a deeper Battlelog system than on console. Battlelog tracks your statistical progress in Battlefield 3 and shares it as you play.

"We want console gamers to preferably play the game on your consoles with that [Battlelog on PC] next to you," said Troedsson. "You can keep your real-time stats coming up on your webpage."

"However, there will of course be a version of Battlelog inside the console. The feature that we call the Battlefeed," he explaied, stating that this will track and share things like ranking up and unlocking things.

"That will be in there with the whole defence management system."

"But if you really want to dig deep into the features that are in Battlelog," he added, "then you have to go to the web."

Battlefield 3 is one of the main attractions at German games show Gamescom 2011 this week. Eurogamer has nominated it as one of the Games of the Show.

Hahahaha. Really? It's the commo-rose they are talking about.

I can't imagine Volition or THQ would be stupid enough to try and sell the co-op mode as DLC. Volition especially, since they've always struck me as a pretty community-focused developer. I could see it coming with an online pass, but if they charge for the co-op that'd be a pretty fucking terrible business move.

Well THQ are kinda broke so they've done more than a few bad business moves.

just because they aren't doing great doesn't mean they're broke.

THQ stocks aren't even worth $2. http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=THQI
