Got to give him credit for not taking easy targets. He more often goes for average or flawed games than downright bad ones. He's on best form when using games as a jumping-off point for railing against worn out trends in games (particularly FPS's).

It's a devisive change, but one I've come round on. Just requires a different approach as to how you attack it. It's more like NFS: Most Wanted, which is no bad thing.

I'm really pleased by the updates Criterion are making, plus they're free. Bring on the bikes!
