It's not totally on topic, but I tend to notice video game sound effects way more often than music. the number of times I've heard the same two dog barks or reloading noise for guns is pretty ridiculous. I also remember hearing the hydralisk sound being used a lot on tv in the early thousands for 'exotic birds' and such.
I tend to prefer Logitech just because I have a long history of getting pretty good long lasting products with them. I currently have a G400s, which I like a lot because I can adjust the sensitivity to on the fly. I've heard that razor mice tend to be pretty terrible system hogs, but I've never taken the plunge and purchased one. I really tend to get cheap keyboards because I use them really hard and tend to wear them out really quickly, but ergonomic ones can be pretty nice for long term use. I'm totally biased when it comes to chairs, but once you go herman miller, you never go back. Sometimes you can find it used for a good price, look in antique and liquidator stores as well as on craigslist. But even if it's a few hundred dollars out of your price range they last forever and super comfortable.
I would say GITS or Gundam 08 MS team, lots of grey politics and based on the vietnam war, plus it's a short series run, fits on 1 dvd. GITS is just awesome.
Crap I work next to the convention center and I completely forgot this was happening! Otherwise I would've gotten the day off or something or popped over there on a long break or something. At least it looks really cool! Glad you had fun on the first day @hailinel!
Man Vinny, I'm so happy for you and wish you the best! This is scary, but change always is and I always try and stay hopeful knowing the best is yet to come.
I would say as someone who played Morrowind on PC when it originally came out, and eventually Oblivion and Skyrim after it, Morrowind is hard to go back to. It is especially hard for someone who has an interest in visiting the game without the draw of nostalgia. The combat is often the thing that is the worst for new people, as well as the fact that the vanilla game looks very dated and that the learning curve can be a little hard at first. However, I'd say that if you want to put in the little bit of time making the game look pretty and such that you will be rewarded ten fold. There is a reason that people to this day rave about that game, and it's not solely based on nostalgia-fueled memories.
