Not sure if the first mission is easier than the rest of the missions but so far I havent had a hard time with the mobs. Think it is also down to the fact that i played both betas a few hours so I am kinda familiar with the basic mechanics of the game. By the first mission i mean the level that was in the first nioh beta last year. Being kinda vague on purpose since i dont want to spoil stuff.

But never killed the boss in that beta so shall see how many tries it will actually take for me to kill it.

Re 7 is a relatively short game. Finished the game in about 10 hours. Though I did like the game and think this is a major improvement over RE 5 and RE6. This feels like going back to the basics of resident evil games.

Bought the game from Greenmangaming for about 40 euros so for me the price was just right. If I paid 60 euros I dont think i would have felt the same since the game is relatively short.

One can always get a refund of the pre-order if you order it from steam or origin. So it is not like always pre-ordering a game means that you have potentially wasted that money if the game is bad.

For full disclosure I have to admit first that I havent had a single Nintendo console in my life. I have been mostly a PC gamer through my whole life and have had ps and xbox consoles so I could play the exclusives coming out for those specific consoles.

Anyway there are a few things that puzzle me about Nintendo Switch:

1) The price (Switch costs about 380 euros where i live which is roughly 406 dollars)
2) Not a single game is included in the price of that package as even the minigame collection costs about 50 dollars
3) In order to play online I need a subscription which would be tolerable if that service would include more than one 20 year old game per month (for which you lose the access to after the month ends?)
4) In order to speak with other players one needs to use a subscription based voice app through a mobile phone or a tablet?
5) All the accessories are priced really high (70 to 80 dollars for controllers?)

When you combine all of those prices together it will be a pretty expensive package even if you decide not to buy the extra controllers or decide not to use the subscription service. It just smacks of greed. Especially considering how sparse the launch schedule of games seems to be for Switch for the current year.

Trico is definately alive at the end of the game. Dunno if you dont see the final cinematic if you skip the credits but the game shows the main character as a middle aged man and finally shows Trico resting in the cave where the game started. Well you can only see Tricos eyes but it is definately him/her.

I must say that i loved this game since it reminded me a lot about Ico in the way the navigation puzzles were constructed. The only really frustrating sections for me were the couple of instances where you had to carry the barrel to Trico across uneven surfaces which meant a lot of barrel tossing. Ended up spending quite a while trying to throw the barrel in a way that didnt make the damn thing roll over the edges.

Think the most impressive section of the game for me was being locked inside the iron cage. That was a brilliant bit of navigating around in the game.

Hmm that sounds pretty weird. You should level at least to level 1 in support just by playing the class for a couple of hours.

If you just started playing bf1 it could be that the servers are again acting up and not showing peoples ranks so it will look like everyone is rank 0.

One trick that i found to be pretty effective in a lot of cases is to just find the nearest river or sea. Usually cops dont send out boats and you can just either hide alongside the banks of the river or the sea. For example if they are searching you alongside the beach then just swim towards the sea or towards the other river bank. Or alternatively if there is a bridge you can just hide under it since the ncp´s wont usually search you there.

This is why i usually crashed my car into the water and then just swam around long enough for the stars to go away.

For the demo I went for the normal difficulty which was maybe a bit too easy since I didnt die once and used only about 6 small health potions and 1 average one. Though considering that the demo has no save option and the demo starts from beginning if you die I think for me the choiche to play this game on normal was a good decision.

The combat felt excellent and the story actually felt interesting. Also the way that the game combines platformy elements with shooting elements felt really interesting. Weapon switching also feels like there are a lot of options to switch out to different weapons wich are more suitable for certain enemy types.

I loved the original nier and I hope that this game will be more successful saleswise. At least the demo convinced me that I will probably like the game.

At first i wasnt sure that I liked the game but playing it the game kinda sucked me in and its been a real struggle to do other stuff than play the game. I love how open world it is right from the start and how many little details they have included into the game. One example of that is that during the car rides one of the characters occasionally farts resulting in a pretty hilarious combo of hand gestures from the other party members. You can even get bits of detailed dialogue between characters from looking at the photos that are taken between resting.

Just one advice for people who want a bit more challenge in their main game. My characters are about 53 atm and I kinda roll through a lot of the boss fights which are tied to the main game (playing this on normal difficulty...would bump it to hard but that doesnt seem to be possible). Kinda tried to do most of the sidequests and hence my levels seem to be a bit too high in regards to the main plot. So if you want the main plot to be a bit more challenging then i recommend not doing most of them before advancing the main plot of the game. Or at least try to keep your level tied to the recommended level of the main plot quests.

Still havent finished the game but I think i am on the latter part of the main plot atm. Have about 40 hours clocked into the game at this point. For me this game is on the par with ff7 and ff8 which are the final fantasy games which i enjoyed the most. While the active combat can be a bit of a barrier for some people it is unfortunately a sign of the times in japan. Most of the japanese rpgs these days (tales series...trails in the sky series and so on)...have active combat instead of turn based combat. Even very few western games have turn based combat anymore. It seems that only kickstarted games have turn based combat these days...with the exception of x-com series which is build around turn based combat (dunno if it can be classfied as an rpg though).
