Nope, definitely still getting a generous amount of blimps and hot air balloons. Which reminds me, I thought Jeff was sort of joking during the podcast when he said the amount of gems they give you for free makes it seem like someone made a mistake but damn, he really wasn't kidding at all. It's kind of absurd how many they give you.

I'm currently sitting at a 3.669M sell out multiplier and they've easily given me 2500 gems at this point. I'm I've upgrade my gas pump 7 times now and I've bought quite a few 8 hour boosts and 8 hours of cash. It makes me wonder if they just decided to say screw the gem stuff lets just attach ads to practically everything you can do and make our money that way.

There isn't really much point in spending it since everything you pay money for resets to 0.

That's definitely not true since cabbies you haven't leveled up before will give you rewards at levels 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, and 999. You get lots of jewels and scratch cards leveling up new cabbies and also rarely it'll unlock other new cabbies.

The upshot is that EA is starting tomorrow(and I assume they are talking over that) and Microsoft is Sunday so we don't have to wait the whole weekend for E3 content to start.

@capum15: You have to be cautious though, because if you boost, going full speed and hit a wall, your health will go down.

You definitely don't have to be going full speed for it to hurt. You take damage at about 8m/s and you can go a lot faster than that. You can actually tell the point where you'll start taking damage if you hit something because the color of your speed meter will change to red.

Wow man, that gameplay looks pretty bad. Is it really gonna be that slow? Also I know they pretty much always are, but the youtube comments are fairly savage.

Just a friendly reminder people - don't click the link.

Instead click the thing in the top right corner of the post that says "Flag" so the mods see and then delete said spam.

Unless Prey 2017 gets waaaaay better after what I played on the demo, I rather play Prey 2006 twice than continue to play through 2017.

However, I don't think Prey 2006 holds up that well nowadays. It was a product of it's era and most of it's impact only worked back then, when most FPS games were getting pretty uninspired. But I also think that Prey 2006 deserves more credit. Most people shrug it off either because of the story progression or because of the easy gameplay, but I think that game did some really neat stuff on gameplay mechanics and overall design of environments, enemies and guns.

It actually does happen to get way better. The demo is kinda shit compared to the rest of the game in terms of gameplay, especially if you happened to have played it on the PS4. You don't get to see any of the research stuff, or the other half of the neuromod tree which includes all the crazy powers, or any of the suit and helmet mods, or any of the cooler weapons/enemies/environments.

Also I'm playing on PC so I don't know that this is true but supposedly the serious input lag on the PS4 version is gone in the latest 1.02 patch.

Man even in early access this game seems pretty great. The combat and most of the movement just feel so good. It's really fast and fluid and there are a bunch of time where you'll feel cool pulling stuff off. I really like how capable your character is. You can roll in mid jump, you can put your shield up mid combo, you can switch attack directions mid combo, you can roll under numerous attacks and behind any enemy(which btw not taking contact damage is also great).

My only real problems so far is that dropping down platforms doesn't feel the best, and it's actually shockingly easy to get killed from 100% to zero in a second or two because there doesn't seem to be any invincibility when you get hit. So the random elites that spawn minions can practically one-shot you the moment you hit them if you get unlucky and they spawn a minion on top of you. Also get 2 or 3 of those scythe bats on you and you are 100% dead.

i beat the first boss and can make it to the toxic sewers no problem but i die quickly once i'm there.

I pretty much refuse to go to the sewers, It's way harder than the Promenade and there doesn't seem to be any increased reward for going there other than you just get an extra floor worth of loot and such(since you go straight to the Promenade after finishing the sewers anyway).

I recently found out the English voice of 9S (Kyle McCarley), streamed a full playthrough of Nier: Automata, with occasional appearances by the other voice actors like 2B and Eve, and it's kinda the best thing ever. Watching them geek out over the game they're in and voice the unvoiced dialogue in-character makes me appreciate the English voice cast even more. They're all a bunch of adorable nerds.

He's also currently streaming his way through OG Nier, which is also pretty great.

Oh that's neat. I wonder if a lot more voice actors will just start doing that. Shortly after FFXV came out the voice actors for the main crew got together to play a bunch of it and it was pretty great.
