I can't get the HTML 5 video player to work at all. When I switch to the HTML 5 player it just throws up the giant play button and does nothing. Clicking either play buttons does not start playback.

Not unless there is some outright false information in a review or it is shady, such as giving a great review to a crap game while at the same time running ads for it.

@kscorps: Yes. It should speed up greatly once they fine tune their load balancers.

@ashbash: I know Dave and Alexis use Sublime and I would assume that they use Git for their version control. Their framework is Symfony. As far as font-end tech, they use Backbone, Underscore, jQuery, jQuery UI, Modernizr and Typekit. They also use SASS and may use Compass as well.

I fixed some seriously broken formatting from the old site. Spent about 25 minutes on it and got a measly 3 points out of it.

I've been a member since day 1 of the GB launch and have 474 wiki points. I don't do a lot of writing because frankly, I'm not a very good writer. I do like going through and attaching characters/concepts and formatting pages. I don't really care about the points, I'd just like to be able to bypass the mod queue but at the rate points are being given out, It will take me years to get there.

@sulipatchouli: It's not so much the graphics and more so the very unreliable framerate.

@crithon: Nope. They literally created this new site from scratch. They had to re-create all of the features from the old site that they had 5 years to build up. They did not have time to do achievement tracking or quests because they are very extensive features to implement. Dave said they may add achievement tracking in the future but there are no plans for it at this time.

Looks the same way for me in chrome.

EDIT: Just fiddled around in chrome dev tools and it seems Chrome is rendering the text as bold, adding font-weight: normal; to those anchor tags fixes it.

It was a stupid idea, no matter the gender. I think that is the point that a lot of people are trying to make but are coming across as sexist.

The first time I had seen anything about that statue was when the outrage started. If I had seen that thing on a store shelf or something I would have just thought, "wow, that is really dumb" and moved on with my life.

Some people are far too quick to pull the "sexism" card whenever something happens involving a female. Is there sexism in the video game industry? Absolutely. Is this statue sexist? Absolutely not.
