Looks decent, sharp and minimalistic. Almost a shame it's changing, I like the past year's one. Still, I suppose the thing I like the most about this past year's one is the Xbox-button menu, it's absolutely brilliant. I just wish I could disable all the extra crap that I never use on the main screen. Or even better, just default to the menu that lets me run a game immediately, or look at my games library, or my own profile stuff, rather than defaulting on the news page or whatever. If I want your news Microsoft, I'll move my dpad up one :P

Hmm.....My avatar looks way better wearing a members-medal XD

Anyway....we've reached our first real boss! I'm sure there will be Persona 3 players that cringe at our "excellent" combat strategy. On the subject of OP abilities, I wand GOD HAND!

I hope it is. I could only watch one show at a time, so I opted for the actual show. I was planning on watching the archive of the premium feed! Surely it will be on justin or something...

Thanks @Buckybit, that was what I tried after GB's search failed me. I'm watching the Trenched TNT now ^_^.

So I take it there have been a number of discussions on search? I'm interested to hear what the Web-Bombadiers think of the NRFROD.

Hey Bombardiers, I've found an issue with the site's video search that's causing me (and probably some other people) some bother. The NRFROD.

I'm new to the Thursday Night Throwdown, only been watching it live for a month now. As a free member I've used the TNT Archive, .........but I upgraded to subscriber yesterday!

No Caption Provided

I now want to watch archived TNTs in glorious HD from Giant Bomb itself, rather than the lower quality Justin.tv stream recordings. Rather than watching the full archive in order, I'd like to take some picks out of it. For example, I'd like to watch the Trenched TNT right now. So I type into the video search box what you'd expect to type in:

"Thursday Night Throwdown Trenched"

Search's answer: "no results found"

Actual Truth: There is a TNT featuring Trenched archived.

It appears that the search works for video titles only, and doesn't include any video tags/description-keywords/linked-games that may be included in the video entry. As the TNT videos titles retain the format "Thursday Night Throwdown: mm/dd/yy", it makes searching for them useless without knowing the exact date it was first broadcast.

I know that you can find a video by first searching for the game, and then going to the videos section for the game to find out if it was ever featured in a TNT (I'm assuming all TNTs that are archived are linked to their respective games). Not only is that a more roundabout way of accessing the content (that also involves more page loads), but it's not the search method that internet users have become accustomed to. If we as unknowing users search for a Trenched Thursday Night Throwdown and are told there are no results, then there must be no Trenched TNT...right?

The Whiskey Media sites are very well designed and implemented, I absolutely adore Giant Bomb, and I love the instant-dropdown-search function that many sites have nowadays too. If this one issue were corrected, it would bring Giant Bomb closer to the glorious day of detonation and salvation we all pray daily for,

to our overlord and saviour,

The Giant Bomb.

God, the instant panic* when the TNT stream wasn't working properly. As if they'd suddenly make it a premium feature, without an announcement beforehand.

(* Not just this topic, but the posts in the TNT article too.)

They disabled the Giant Bomb XBMC add-on today without an announcement beforehand, I was just worried they had changed the TNT too. Glad they haven't ^_^
