Glad to hear our call of duty "authority" at giant bomb is enjoying it overall. It stinks to hear about the spec-ops mode though. I was hoping it would be more along the lines of those in MW2; bite-sized missions that have you participate in setpiece moments, not endless waves of enemies coming out of nowhere. Great review.
@oldeblueeyes: My thoughts exactly. And I don't doubt that the folks at Iron Galaxy are hard-working and (mostly) upright. No disrespect, and I want those people to keep on keeping-on. However, it's just distressing and confusing trying to reconcile my faith in those people with how this game came out.
I am of the same mindset. Seems like a great group of people at that company, but would really like some insight on why the game is in this state and more importantly why it's at $60. Making games is not an easy task, so some of the more harsh attacks on the company I think is unjustified. It's not like they're trying to hide what this is.
Jeez, this is rough. I'm just thinking in my head that God of War is the same retail price as this... I bet this would be seen as comporable at $20 to $30. Seems just to fall flat in every aspect. Maybe this is just a product of trying to get something out fast.
