Your sarcasm detector is broken. Or my sarcasm generator is. I will, in fact, be trying that next, and thanks for the suggestion. :)

Thanks for the helpful ideas and the troll posts! I will definitely try unplugging my router and plugging it back in. , that is absurd and I will absolutely not be trying that next.

Many (not all) of my games on Steam always want to do their initial installation stuff like checking Directx installation etc every time I run them. This triggers UAC, so I have to type in my admin password every time I want to play. Up until now, this has just been mildly inconvenient, but I would like to put the computer in the living room and run Big Picture mode at some point in the nearish future, which means it will be more of an issue since I won't have a keyboard easily accessible. Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

Awesome! I knew it was coming, but that's much sooner than I expected.

I think I prefer just popping the battery pack off for a sec. I actually do that on the 360 too when we're watching a movie, because I have a bad habit of nudging the controller and jumping back a half hour.

I'm done now as those were the only items I had besides Left 4 Dead ones which I don't imagine are worth much, but interesting to know that there's a whole currency for this stuff.

Diablo seems different in that it's entirely sanctioned by Blizzard and they take a cut of every transaction, but I hadn't thought of it somehow. Definitely Blizzard's attempt to get in on crazy in-game item purchases, and what Blizzard sets their mind to, they usually achieve.

Sold my three Sam & Max items for $75! Apparently the complete set is a hot commodity. I kind of think I might have gotten lowballed actually, but the whole thing was just a weird windfall anyway.

As far as keeping them, why would I? Like I said, I don't play TF2, and if I ever do play it again, I'm really not the type to care about cosmetic pieces like hats anyway. And I think the window for this stuff has to be closing. If DOTA doesn't kill it with its own item market, you know what will eventually come out? Team Fortress 3. And then all this stuff will be worthless.

I buy a lot of games on Steam, and so I end up with a fair number of Team Fortress 2 items in my inventory. Recently I've started getting a lot of spammy looking friend requests on my Steam account, and someone on another board I post on clued me in that it might be because of the Max's Severed Head I got from preordering Sam & Max Season 3. I haven't played TF2 since before hats even existed, so I had absolutely no idea of the economy that has grown up around these things. Apparently this hat is one of the most valuable items in the game!

Woo hoo, I done struck gold! Sweet, sweet TF2 GOLD! How do I unload this thing? Can I get Steam Wallet funds? Games? How much is it really worth (the guy on the other board said about $75)? I've done some searching around and found some cool TF2 trading sites with Steam API integration and all that, but they all focus on trading for other TF2 items, and again, I don't actually play TF2.

I'm asking here because GB is a nice place that would never scam me, so please don't try to scam me. Here's my Steam inventory: http://steamcommunity.com/id/orfbc/inventory/

Thanks!

And they're giving up. 10 days to go, less than $15k pledged. It's too bad, but I can't help but think they might have done better if they had put out frequent updates like Shadowrun, Double Fine, Two Guys from Andromeda, and the other super-successful campaigns. On the other hand, those guys were all kicking out the constant updates in response to runaway success, so maybe I've got the relationship backwards. Tough to say, but it's hard not to feel like PeeZocker wasn't doing as much as they could to get awareness out there. Totally armchair generalling, of course, it's impossible to actually know what they had going.

Well, what can we say? We gave it a try and just did not generate enough interest around the gaming press to drive folks to the site to get enough supporters.

So, being prudent people we are going to pull it down in 24 hours. We appreciate all the support from the backers and all the ideas to make the game better etc, but our needs to finish it, just seem a bit high for the Kstarter community at this time.
