WOW!  I used to watch him from time to time when he was on CNN, but haven't seen anything since he moved to FOX.  What is in the water there that turns people insane?  The whole thing reminds me of Network.

Awesome!!  I need to sit down and watch this series again as well as the 2 after movies and Evangelion 1.0.   If you want a retelling of the end of the series there was a manga (available in English) called NGE: Angelic Days.  By the way, I read there are supposed to be four Evangelion *.0You Are (Not) Alone movies, so there are two more supposedly in the pipeline. And if you don't wanna deal with the link above (i couldn't get much to play), I found this on Youtube...

Guys in there 30s+ who don't know how to respond to movies based off stuff from their childhood.  I don't care if you hated Transformers, Speed Racer, New Star Wars, New Indy, or anything else from after school cartoon cavalcade. I don't think Hollywood is "raping your childhood."  I don't care if you think you will hate GI Joe because the filmmakers don't understand the property the same way you do.  Basically, everyone on Ain't it Cool News.

A new R&C sounds great, but the rest of the info was pretty "meh" in my opinion.  Wow, that PS3 update video was *yawn* riveting.  I'd prefer a few other items added to the PS3 than a chat box, but maybe next time...

I remember it.  But with the web today you can just go to http://www.machinima.com/ or look for mash-ups on Youtube or Gametrailers.  Back when the show was popular, the widespread infusion of broadband across the country was still relatively young.  If people wanted to see game footage, they had to wait a long time for video to download on their systems or watch G4. But, everything's changed since then, and access to video is relatively quick and easy.  Okay, it's not quite the same thing as what Video Mods was, but except for a few titles, I think your nostalgia is clouding how good the show actually was.  Most videos were just characters blue screened by actors against a static background.  There were a few enjoyable ones though that can be found on the web...

For me, it's Champions Online first then Batman: Arkham Asylum.  While DCU Online looks promising, I expect it to be a 2010 game so I can't get too excited for that title just yet.  Between Prototype and InFamous, I prefer Prototype more so far.  I like the physicality of the game over the shooter-style of Infamous.  Of course, an E3 announcement of Crackdown 2 would make my year.

100 hours of gameplay into Persona 3 FES and I am still in part "A", The Journey.  This game owns my soul for the foreseeable future, although I may take a break to give the C&C Red Alert 3 demo on PS3 a try.  But chances are I'm going to stick with P3 FES until I'm done...then do I immediately start P4 or take a break and play some other genre?  Don't know yet.

Now, do you mean the little movie that plays before you hit "Start" or do you mean the first few minutes of the game?  Anyway, besides the ones previously mentioned above, I got hooked on the cartoon opening of the PS2 game SkyGunner [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZerrPE-N-MU].  The game is pretty good as well, although not ground breaking.

But in recent memory, the opening to Devil May Cry 4 impressed me the most.  After I saw it, I went "Wow!".

Have you enjoyed the reruns of Doom or Marathon on XBLA?  If not then, chances are you'd be disappointed by an XBL arcade version of the original Perfect Dark.  Much like old episodes of G.I. Joe and ALF, some things are better left in our memories.  FPS games have jumped lightyears since then, and most people would likely be dissatisfied with the game.  People who have no nostalgia for the exploits of Joanna Dark would wonder what all the fuss was about.  There are several modern* arcade FPSs in the pipe [Battlefield 1943 & Quake 3 Arena] that I think would be more successful and better receieved by the Xbox community than a retread of the original Perfect Dark.  Now having said that, if Rare was to completely update the title much like 1942: Joint Strike or Bionic Commando Rearmed, then I think your idea could work.

*By "modern" I mean they've been developed with new engines and designed to run on XBL.
