@Xtrememuffinman: Ok, that makes sense. I can see why you might feel that way, but let me tell you, once you have those fundamentals down, calc makes for some great puzzles. It's amazing stuff, and when you understand, it can change the way you view the world.
Hope I didn't come off as aggressive towards you. The only thing I was pissed off with there was the American school system.
I respect math. I'm good at more logic based math, but when things start getting complex, I suck. For instance, I'm really good at Algebra and manipulating problems in unorthodox ways, and I got great SAT and SAT II scores, but I'm ass at Calculus (also, my professor sucks. 2.2 on rate my professor).
Dude, not to be a dick, but SAT and SAT II level algebra is nothing. Getting good scores on those tests only proves that your school is not wholly incompetent. Unfortunately, many are, and that is why math standards are so low.
Also, all math is logic based. That's kind of the point.
