Does anyone else get the impression that Nintendo dont even play their own games anymore?
Dont get me wrong, as 'Haliinel' said, fleshing out the Metroid world is, in principle, a fantastic idea.
Nonetheless, i cant help but feel that such a transision calls for more tact, more subtlety with a game of this distinction.

Of the top of my head........ maintian the solitary feeling of loneliness, make the 'main character' Samus' inner monologue, leave her on some planet with some mystery to solve and let the atmosphere and environment do the majority of the storytelling.
For some reason, the feeling im getting is half-life/metropid prime/biochock.

Anyway, probably wouldnt work, but i think the point is clear. Im not interested in playing Metroid Gundam. Sorry, i meant metroid other M.

pretty much already bought this game. didnt even realise how into this game i was. man, e3 was awsome this year.

Anyway, lookoing at this game, it makes me think they should go one step further with the whole persistent character thing, making it so that you can play with people who have the game on any system, ps3, 360 or PC.
Other than the myriad of technical obsticles that i will immediately stop thinking about after making this comment,  I dont see why such a feature would matter, legally and what not; it would be available to each platform so its hardly an advantage for any particular one.

plus, the winner would be you know, us. the people wo just payed for it.
anyway, wont happen and yes yes, theres lots of good reasons why not etc etc.

still.....

it looks impressive (again).
They should package in some "'horde mode' style sandbox killing things in increasingly outrageous context'" mode into this game. Then I'd get it.

Same, Not interested, I'll rent it but that's as far as I'm gonna go. "
Dude, Halo has go tot be one of the best multiplayer experiences there is. Seems like 50-60 bucks for a new, full length single player game in a revamped engine, interesting (likely better)
story, new weapons + in game features/modes, all the contents of the Halo 3 multiplayer DLC thus far and the compatability to play with the entire Halo 3 multiplayer community from this
disc is a pretty ok deal. If this seems so uninteresting, then it seems as though Halo 3 shouldnt have been that interesting to you in the first place.

On the other hand, your certainly correct about bungie 'warming the bed'. Economically, they will milk this franshise for everything its got before it needs another shot in the arm from
another core release. So I agree with you there.

But if this game is their way of milking me, then im the fattest lactating cow on the farm.

Oh and another thing!

Who precisely is complaining about this whole teaser procession?

..Metal Gear fans presumeably enjoy overly elaborate, drawn out fanfare (hence; Metal Gear fan), so that seems entirely idiosyncratic.

..People who dont enjoy MGS? But how does this single website that I found difficult enough to come across in the first place interupt thier everyday lives? It couldn't be, since they'd have to be deliberately observing the site or indeed, the speculation by thier own volition.

...
...

Other than realising that I just divided the entire population of earth into those who like MGS and those who dont, I cant think of anyone else.

I.e. Shut up.

Ok so im going to put it out there for the critical scrutiny of you all, my peers:
The list of cross platform titles that are amazing is easily as long as the list of fantastic exclusives.

Who cares if this is exclusive or not? As long as you own either system, we all win.
