@iburningstar: I would disagree because after you understand that area you can blow pass it in no time. You don't have to take out everyone unless you want to gain some levels which is not a bad idea after you run into the first boss. I just think its a very hard learning curve for new and vets alike given how different the play style is.

I think its perfect in the sense that you should not feel too bad when you lose insight and they do cool things that can make the game harder if need be.

I fall in this camp of wanting to give a game a fair shake even if i have a heads up that i'm not going to like it. Also if i make it far into the game i might as well finish the game.

It could be without his name it could impact sells or maybe kojima could have legal case to fight if they are too zealous in removing his name from everything he worked on. But i don't think they patched things up if you will.

It depends if you don't like slower more careful game play then it might be hard to go back to the souls games. But if that does not bother you, the souls games have more going on if you will. Armor and inventory weight plays a factor in what you can carry and how fast you move/roll. The mid to late game has more class options in creating a build around different weapons or magic. So in true the souls games are a bit deeper and have more options. The only thing to keep in mind is unlike bloodborne the souls games do not reward being aggressive unless you are really skilled or in the groove of things. I say go for it if you are not hang up on playing a bit slower because it will be a nice step up in learning more stat and weapon systems.

If they did not change anything adventure games of old were very hard in the sense you had to really put two and two together from very random things. I still need to pick it up and play it given that i never finished that game.

Say what you will about Patrick because i get not everyone will like him or his material. But i don't understand how the site is better without him, given the fact that i don't see how the site is better with less content.

I don't know he seems like a good fit over there. I don't see him post as often but i'm sure he is finding his footing. I don't think kotaku is all that bad aside from their parent company forcing dumb "we wanna be innovative and different just because" website/comment system redesigns that are almost always terrible.

I can't fully say always given that its more like 8/10 times i will do everything. The more i like the game the more i'm likely to do everything. The only ones i often drag on is collect 100 of these things in the world. I don't really like doing those types of side quests.

Yes i will get one, but will wait for when a special bundle comes out.
