@jadegl: @amyggen: I completely agree with you two, that character, while not good or exceptionally written in any way, is inoffensive and not a problem. I am still super angry at them ruining my favourite game of all time. See, here is the thing, when the outrage at this expansion started, I thought "oh god I hope they don't pretend the problem is the trans character" but that's exactly what happened and now this is all everyone is talking about. It happened with Anders in Dragon Age 2. That character was fun in the Origins expansion, but then they changed him completely and gave him the worst decision making known to man. But since they also made him gay, the defence was "oh they hate him because he is gay". I hated him, and my dwarf had gay sex with an Elve in Origins and that was brilliant to me.
It probably also didn't help that a writer wrote the expansion had nothing to do with the original game but instead threw characters under the bus and called the original writing sexist. That's a bad move when writing a sequel. If you didn't like the original, don't write the continuation.
Edit: I should clarify: I have seen screenshots of the writing in this game in scenes were nothing political at all was going on and it was horrific. Think trying to be Joss Whedon but being inept. NOT how the original game was. That's what most people got upset about. And the GG joke because come the fuck on.
I don't really understand how the Rapp thing is different to all the guys getting fired for tweeting? Like Adam Orth, that Destructoid guy disliking Felicia Day, that PR dude of some European Mmo I believe, or was it Techland?

Not for Vinny, not yet, but you can speck for ranged, especially with the DLC. It's viable. I defeated 2 bosses with pistol shots only and that was in base game without the DLC bow.
As someone that's still waiting for the already shipped english version to be delivered, I would like to say thank you to Jeff and Dan. While it's pretty clear that you understandably don't like the game, or have a complete lack of interest in playing it, the QL was very enjoyable and full of pleasant good vibes. Great job!
Austin is great but I sure hope he will not become the only guy looking at Anime and japanese stuff. I would have liked a quick look with hostess clubs for example.
But shit at least that was miles better than the Y4 QL.
Now that I think about it, having not watched this yet, maybe this will be hard to watch. The Nitroblasterz QL was great.
Is "ads" supposed to be short for "adversaries"? That sounds a bit pretentious -- no one says "we're gonna go fight some adversaries" unless they're trying to be a Tolkien-esque passive-voice copycat (as in, "Forsooth! Let us shooteth these most foul adversaries in their facial areas!"
As they explained it, it stands for added ones. Not enemies that roam around the world or guard a place and once you shoot them they're gone, but enemies that get added during a boss fights. So if you say "Ads!" everyone knows that new enemies spawned and that they need to be shot. It's just a really short way of conveying information which is what people want during 6 player co-op experiences due to a possible overloard of voices.
ALSO, while I'm annoying as hell already, let me continue to be, "adversary" is most definitely a word derived from latin and therefore a word that Tolkien would explicitly NOT use since the world of LotR is set on our earth before Rome. He stated he wanted as few latin words and as many german ones as possible.
