Lot of people came here expecting a coherent discussion of norse mythology or deep dives into character relationships/plot(including me) and were disappointed.
Let's not shit on Dan(and Vinny and Ben) for having a different take on the game though.
Man, I'm kinda bummed that Jeff and Dan totally no selled the transformation. I mean they've been speculating about it for a while, it'd be great if they spent more than a couple minutes talking about it. Good or bad, there's no denying its a pivotal moment.
Jeff has been playing games so long that he's really zeroed in on the things he likes and doesn't like. His opinions are nuanced to the point of being nitpicky. So ya, his opinion on games doesn't really gel with people who have less experience with games. Which is a lot of the people on this site(including me).
Don't get me wrong, I like Jeff a lot. I just don't often agree with his critical opinion on games.
Dan absolutely deserves the win for carrying everyone through this final episode. Then he offered to buy everyone beer with his winnings. What a great end to a great series.
At this rate I'm guessing 4 more episodes to finish? That's totally fine with me :)
@nickfoley: @gbrading: The real truth about the Last Jedi is that it's divisive, as in both sides have valid points. I fall right down the middle. Last Jedi is 'okay.' If you don't expect greatness its a fun marvel-style adventure movie.
Did not appreciate Dan dismissing those who didn't like the movie as nitpickers with fan theories. Kinda Funny didn't like Last Jedi. I guess Dan is throwing shade at his colleagues in the game industry?
I could not disagree with Dan more on the Wii port of this game.
In my experience drawing things with the wiimote was quick and easy. It was so quick that I could just pop it up for a split second and draw something without altering the flow of combat. One of the reasons I'm hesitant to pick up this remaster is that drawing with an analog stick seems slow af.
I think its a Skyward Sword situation. Some people had wiimotes that had to be recalibrated every 10 min and the game was unplayable for them. Maybe a similar thing is going on with Okami Wii? All I know is that my experience was totally different from what Dan describes.
I'm guessing the diehard sonic fanbase is shrinking, so they can't justify putting more money/time into the game? Either that or they know that they're enough people who will swallow any turd that looks blue and spiky.
Hopefully they let the guys who made Sonic Mania take the wheel going forward.
