Did the graphics look dated to anyone else?

I'm not loving the unimaginative art direction or throwback 2009 wargame palette of grey/brown. Visually speaking, this game looks like generic shooter #604 with graphics from 2014.

Gameplay-wise, back to basics COD might be interesting, but maybe not for $60.

@plethomacademia: By that logic I'm guessing you also have a problem with Call of Duty, Devil May Cry, and Street Fighter? Any game that requires fast reflexes are off the table for people with physical disabilities. A sad fact of life.

Should we develop ways for disabled people to play these games. Absolutely(Science is making steady progress in this field). Should we limit game development/design to only games that disabled people can play. Absolutely not.

Not every game is for everyone and there has never been more choice/variety in the game industry. I'd like to keep it that way, not homogenize things to appease one group or another.

Remember that Act IV is not essential or story relevant at all. It exists so that you have something to do besides gather collectibles after you finish the game. Also, so they can sell you lootboxes.

Make no mistake, the end of Act III is the end of the game. The 3 minute epilogue cutscene locked behind Act IV is just a shitty thing they did and may not even be canon if they intend to make a sequel.

I strongly recommend watching the epilogue cutscene on youtube if Shadow of War is wearing out its welcome. The only reason to continue into Act IV is if you want to continue engaging with the Nemesis system.

Oooohh, boy.... feeling overwhelmed by Cuphead's difficulty while still in world 1 is not a good sign.

There's a noticeable difficulty spike as you enter each new world. By the time you get to the final boss, the mechanics of the world 1 bosses seem almost friendly by comparison.

I wouldn't be surprised if Vinny, Alex, and Jeff have moved on to something else this time next week. Cuphead is definitely not for everyone.

If you guys absolutely want to see it through, my suggestion is to play co-op. With its infinite revives, its much easier.

But the answer is the other modes.

Jim Sterling thinks the answer is not buying fee to pay games from these scum suckers, and I'm inclined to agree.

The other modes are great. I am going to play the game for 300 hours and it's the best option on the market for sure. I do get how some people feel that way. I just will not spend the money and will probably avoid the mode more. I already love the MyGM and Franchise most and that stuff is great and not fucked with.

I do think it's crazy how in sports games there is this kind of thing going on. It basically infects one mode of a game. Some people don't care, some modes handle it well enough, but it's there in some mode. It's usually the card based stuff in FIFA or Madden but with 2K they have always had it be the career mode as it's gone on. It's a shitty experience I think and I basically like all those modes in a vacuum but with the transactions it ruins it. I actually love the idea of building a team via a deck but I won't even bother with that shit.

Its not just sports games sadly. WB's doing the same kinda thing with Shadow of War. All the fan backlash in the world isn't gonna stop these companies as long as they make more money with micro transactions than without them. If the invasive VC scheme in MyPlayer is successful for them, there's no way they don't put that shit in MyGM and every other mode they can. Give them an inch and they'll take a mile.

As an NBA fan I'm still gonna play this game. But, I'll wait until the inevitable Black Friday sale and spend the difference on VC so I don't have a horrible grindy experience. I refuse to give 2k more than $60. Greedy motherfuckers.

@rocketskates: FYI, deliberately misunderstanding a statement is a standard troll tactic. As is trying to put words into another person's mouth.

Jeff expresses his opinion on Sunshine when it comes up in conversation. He doesn't seek out new videos and incessantly comment on them.

If you think Sunshine is a bad game that's fine. I don't think its aged particularly well myself. So put your opinion out there and move on. Don't repeat yourself endlessly. That's just annoying.

Surprising how 10 episodes in people still haven't tired of repeating "this is a bad game" over and over again

trolls be trolling bro. They're fishing for reactions.
