Part 4

Again, same as previous Parts

It is important to note each player will have a differentset of evidence which is randomly assigned for each player from a pool of possible evidence. Nevertheless, the locations of these clues will be same, but what the clues are might be different in your playthrough. If you see [brakets] around a word it means this is a variable based on the player.

1. Inspect Worn Data Tablet- Remember the [Highlighed word]
2. Inspect the standard Data Tablet - Remember the name of the [Highlighted] person
3. Inspect Transmitted Component - Remember the [Highlighted number]
4. Inspect Encrypted Data Tablet- Remember the [image & posture]
5. Inspect the Digi Drive- Remember the [type / color ] of the digi drive

After inspecting all 5 pieces of evidence you will prompted to inspect the glass'd grineer.

Make sure you have at least 5 Cephalite Resonances

Go into the Weave and answer the questions as before.

Hydroid Prime

First off, anyone who watched TennoLive 2020 on Twitch or Steam with their Warframe account linked will have or soon receive Hydroid Prime. Here’s the much long awaited Hydriod Prime Trailer.

With that also came the announcement of the Hydriod Deluxe Pack.

Three New Warframes Announced

During TennoCon it was revealed that three new Warframes are in development.

1. Xaku
2. “Untitled” Alchemist Themed Warframe
3. Wraithe

All three warframes were designed by Liger a fan artist well known in the Warframe community that DE has now hired as a full time employee.

Alchemist and Wraithe are still in development with concept art and early in-game models shown during the Tennocon Art Panel. Gameplay of Xaku was demoed during TennoLive by Rebecca Ford the Community / LiveOps Manager that has guested on Giant Bomb.

Xaku (pronoun: They/Them) are a Warframe based on pitched design ideas from-and then voted by the Warframe community. The “Broken-Frame” Xaku is made up of grafting parts from fallen Warframes, and has abilities that allow them to come apart,dismantle.

Xaku’s abilities include:

1. Xata’s Whisper the power imbue weapons with Void Damage.
2. Grasp of Lohk which dismarms enemies and their weapons will automatically act on their own and act as turrets
3. a) Deny fires a Laser Void Beam that that deals damage or CC (should they survive) to enemiesb) Accuse: Creates a Radial Fissure that has similar CC properties to Denyc) Gaze: CCs a singular target and surrounding
4. The Vast Untime: Throws off Xatu’s warframe tatters the shrapnel deals damage to nearby enemies and Xatu is left in a Skeletal state with 75% damage reduction and faster movement speed.

Xaku will be coming as part of the Heart of Deimos update.

The Heart of Deimos update is coming to all platforms August 25th. It includes the following content announced:

New Player Experience

The New Player Experience is finally coming in the Heart of Deimos Update

Last Tennocon 2019 when they revealed the new Cinematic Trailer directed by Dan Trachtenberg

The developers have worked on refining the tutorial and the starting quests to be more in-line with the cinematic trailer. Aside from the visual changes shown, Players will have more of an opportunity to try out the new starter weapons before committing to a weapon. I am still personally wondering what changes they made to tutorial to better on-board players.

Existing warframe players will be able to playthrough this new player experience as well. Regardless where you are currently in the game. You will not need to make a new account or start over.

New "Helminth Chrysalis" System

The helminth chamber on the player ship is significant for lore purposes as I explained in my warframe lore summary also on Giant Bomb, its critical role in the creation of the player's warframe. The helminth chamber will now also serve a gameplay mechanic relevant role. After such a reveal, I think we don't need to beat around the bush and can soundly spoil the revelation that Warframes are actually bio-exosuits not made of metal and circuits but of flesh and disease and the helminth is key in the process. (Don't worry I will still leave the mystery of what then are the Tenno?

For those who have not read my lore summary or played the Second Dream quest.) It is funny that just as Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis announced the drastic change away from feeding ones Mag. I hope @jeff, @vinny and @unastrike see how weird it is!

Warframe doubles down on its feeding mechanic as Rebecca demonstrated during Tennolive feeding the Warframe called Mag to the helminth. This allows the helminth to subsume Mag and take her warframe ability, "Pull". After 24 hours the ability would become available for other Warframes to swap out. In some ways similar teaching a ™ to a Pokemon, except you sacrifice one of your existing Warframes to create the ™. This mechanic is interesting in that it presents a resource sink to players who have amassed large stockpiles of resources while giving them a chance to customize Warframe abilities kits. Rebecca stated, the developers would be hand selecting which abilities would be transferable to other Warframes in this new system. In the selection process 4th/Ult abilities will not be made transferable nor signature abilities so don't go holding your breath for suddenly being able to equip a super op move on every single frame you own. Honestly I think this system has great potential, there are just some abilities on frames I never use and now with this system I can swap out the ability with one I will use. Also the potential new meta developing around ability synergies that this also opens up is exciting. Also interested in knowing what they will do about warframes like limbo, grendel, octavia whose abilities are coupled, functionally dependent on the unique properties of warframe itself.

Heart of Deimos Expansion / Live Demo:

The Heart of Deimos will be a new “Planet” (technically “Moon” of Mars) on the Star Chart it has been infested and a SOS signal has been sent out to the Tenno by LOID a new Celphalon-Machine hybrid character.

In this open world there will be new story missions and side-activities (incursions) as we know from the previous open world expansions.

Existing Warframe players note that Deimos will replace the Orokin Derelicts levels in the game.

Deimos features a new open world environment , and a new “Grey Strain”: of Infested enemies.

The Day / Night cycle of Deimos seems to be controlled by giant Infested known as Wyrms, There’s a Sun Wyrms and a Moon Wyrm depending on which Wyrm is out there will affect what type of smaller infested hordes the Tenno face.

To get around in this horrific landscape players will be able to ride new Velacipod beasts with K-drive hoverboard like controls, furthermore also be able to use their secondary weapons while using the “new k-drive”.

Instead of the width of the open world, Deimos will focus on depths, players will need to travel and descend down into the “heart” of Deimos.

The Heart of Deimos’ campaign seems to be very dense with Lore, it sounds like through the story missions we will learn not only about the history of the planet its significance during the period of the Old War and the Tenno’s cryostasis, but also we will finally get a explanation as to the deep connection between the Orokin, Infestation and Warframes.

In the TennoLive demo, we are introduced to The matriarch of the Entrati family is called the Mother. (not to be confused with Tenno's Space Mom the Lotus… although story-wise we aren’t on best speaking terms right now...). Mother is of The Orokin origin, partly infested, she seems to have resided in Deimos after the Old War all this time. From the cutscenes shown at TennoLive, The Entrati family were Orokin Archmestites (ie. Scientist, Mathematicians, Philosophers) who know of knowledge to harness the power of the Void. The Heart of Deimos was briefly alluded to “pumps the arteries of ‘the here’ and the Void” and serves as a place of power for the Tenno and Warframes. Mother will likely be serving as the expansion’s primary quest and bounty giver.

To assist the Tenno, the Entrati faction will provide you access to the Necramech these mechs of the Old War will be pilotable by our Operators. These giant mechs will be customizable and eventually use-able on the other open worlds as well.From the demo, these mechs are reminiscent of the Titans in Titanfall, only you control them in third person. They seem to have 4 abilities similar to the Warframes. Shown briefly, players will also find non-friendly Necramechs in the heart of Deimos to contend with.

During TennoconLive they also had an “interactive” in-game component to the demo. Players on the TennoLive relay Social Hub in-game were able to view different showcases throughout the stream with their in-game character. In short they create a Fortnight-like experience in which as the demo was running, players were teleported to different rooms and visit displays and character models of the new enemies and characters presented in the demo they just watched.

I had a fun day with the Giant Bomb Warframe community over at our discord.

The big surprise for me is how well demo ran without too many hitches. The game and stream saw a large player and viewership spike.

On steam they beat their record of number of concurrent players in the game.

After TennoLive ended we discussed which abilities we most likely expect to be able to transfered through the New "Helminth Chrysalis" System. Some including myself have started rebuilding some of frames in anticipation. For the warframe heads like me out there, DE Pablo has already clarified some of what abilities they plan to make transferable.

2. Inspect the communication tech - Remember what the [image looks like].

After inspecting all 5 pieces of evidence you will prompted to inspect the glass'd grineer.

Hi All, putting on my Warframe reporter hat here.

Just announced this morning is that Tennocon 2020 that was originally scheduled for July 11th, has been delayed to August 1st.

Due to pandemic Tennocon has already been shifted to all Digital Event. The lack of access to their studio facilities (ie. Mo-cap studio, audio recording stage etc.) have made it more challenge to prepare for their Tennocon presentation. The developers have thus decided to move the event to August 1st to give them more time. TennoCon 2020 Live presentation will also be drastically different from past years. In past Tennocon, the TennoLive typically announced big ambitious features and content that would be months, half-a-year away from shipping. This year's tennocon announcement they hope will be content ready to release close to the reveal.

Important note for those who have already purchased the Digital Ticket for Jully 11th and are wondering about access to Baro which they paid for.

The developers are honoring both dates now. The Tennocon-Exclusive Baro will appear both July 11-18 and now also August 1-3.

The full patch notes are in the link above, please check the full patch notes for more of the nitty gritty. But here's a high level summary of the major changes:

Corpus Ship Remastered

This update has the highly anticipated remaster of the game's very first and oldest level set the Corpus Ship Tilset.

I've linked a trailer below, and if you want to see what the old tilset looked like in-game to contrast how dramatic the changes are, look no further than Giant Bomb's initial quick look of Warframe during its beta. If you are returning to Warframe after long hiatus, you will find these new levels in the nodes of where Corpus ships are, planets like Venus, Neptune and Eris will contain missions in these new levels. In addition to the new look, the level also has new side objectives, and a revampted Jackal Boss Fight on the Fossa on Venus.

He's the a very early look at warframe when the Corpus ship was the ONLY tilset in the game.

Jackal Boss Fight

The Boss on Venus (Fossa) has been revamped with more modern (to warframe) mechanics added. The Jackal has been upgraded with new weapons and will have more environmental hazards for the player to contend with. "Heroic Scenes" have been added to the boss fight. As shown in the teaser, the player will need to utilize their Parazon (data-spike hidden blade) finishers to help defeat the Jackal. New boss phases have been added to that fight as well.

New Side Activity: Granum Crowns

In tandem to any mission on the new corpus tilset you will notice that enemies will drop coins. These coins called "Granum Crowns" are sacred tokens to the Corpus who believe Profit as a religion. Throughout the new levels you might also encounter gold hand statues called "Golden Hand Tributes".

In exchange for Granum Crowns, these Golden Hand are able to temporarily open Void Portals.

Additionally, during a mission of on the Corpus Tilset, you may also encounter the Treasurer. The Treasurer is guaranteed to spawn within 2 - 4 minutes in a non-endless mission, and between 5 - 8 minutes in an endless mission. Defeating him before he escapes will allow you take his sacred tokens. Depending on the level of the mission will determine what type of crown they will drop. They are essentially the loot goblins / crystal lizards of warframe.

Level Tiers are:

0-15: Granum Crown

16-30: Exemplar Granum Crown

31+: Zenith Granum Crown

New Waframe + Quest: Protea & The Deadlock Protocol Quest

Protea's a new Warframe in this update a Tech & Gadget based Warframe. She also generates ammo and health drops on demand which is awesome. Her 4th rewind ability is very Tracer-Like. When activated all of Protea's movement and actions are recorded for a duration. Then the Protea's state will be reverted with her actions / animations played backwards. A neat audio touch to the rewind is protea uses her 4th rewind, it records the surrounding audio at the time and plays it backwards. Rewinding will allow her to regain any health and ammo lost during the time when she initially actives the ability.

If anyone is counting, (I am because I am also going to edit the GB wiki) Protea is the 43rd unique Warframe (72th if you count Prime variants).

Protea comes as part of new Deadlock Protocol Quest. The quest is activated via your codex. If you have done the Vox Solaris quest, Deadlock Protocol will be listed in there. Selecting it starts a cutscene and you will have a mission on your navigation after it. The quest which is built into the aforementioned collecting of Granum Crowns and entering the Granum Void.

New Additions to Fortuna: Primary Kitguns and a New Melee-Based Moa Pet

New to the update are primary weapon variants of Kit Guns. Visit Rude Zudd's shop on Fortuna to access to Primary Kigun parts to start building new customized primary weapons.

Melee Moa Pet

Blueprints and parts for new kind of Moa companion that is melee based has been released. Visit Legs in Fortuna to configure the a Moa Companion apparently "inspired by the film Rocky"

In addition pet stasis and degradation mechanic has been removed. All Stasis slots have been converted into Companion slots. Kubrows and Kavats are now listed upon equipping a Companion in the Arsenal screen.

Other Quality of life Changes

• Improvements to the Star Chart UI (when between different mission variants on the same node)
• You now have the option to customize the Mouse Cursor Icon / Color / Size
• Improvements to Railjack, Profile and Shop Menu UI
• Dojo decorations now include decorations from the new Corpus Ship Tileset as well as new Dojo Decoration Room has been added.

Inspect the Glassed Corpus Man

1. Inspect the Corpus Helmet - Remember what the helmet looks like in the picture
2. Inspect the Journal - Remember what the [Highlighted Keyword].
3. Inspect Radiometric Data - Remember the [Highlighted numeral]
4. Inspect Brochure - Remember what the brochure looks like
5. Inspect the Corpus ID Badge - Remember the [Planet] looks like

Here's the notes I took for my game.

After inspecting all 5 pieces of evidence you will prompted to inspect the glass'd corpus man again.

Make sure you have 10 (although of the Deadlock Protocol update, the requirement is now lowered to 5) Cephalite Resonances

Like before, the player will be teleported into the the "Weave" a set islands where a mysterious voice will start asking them questions. Players will need to (short hop) jump onto platform corresponding to the clues they have gathered. Note: Players will not be able to Bullet Jump in the wave.

Once you have inspect the clue and return to your orbiter. Nora will reveal more details about the Glass Maker.
