I feel like the only way this series could be better is if someone rigged up that old Arduino Easy Button so that an on-screen baby counter could be incremented every time Dobby squeezed one out.
This game was on Kickstarter ages ago and I was really bummed when it only collected like $3000. I thought I'd never hear from it again. I am so glad this came out.
I played some of this, and had the same problem I had with Stories Untold, by the same developer: the pacing is awful. Events are constantly interrupted by what are basically minigames, and only rarely do they feel in any way related to the events of the story. Frequently they're tedious or frustrating, especially on a mouse and keyboard, where the key layouts are truly bizarre.
Man, Diablo still has such a sense of overwhelming dread. I think Darkest Dungeon is still the only game I've seen that comes close. The Souls games feel much more about despair, and even Diablo 2 is more of an adventure.
Fun fact: if you own Hitman (2016) on Steam, you can download the "demo version" of Hitman 2 and unlock all the original game's content in it, in addition to the prologue mission, for free.
This literally looks like a PlayStation game from top to bottom. Not even PS2; this is astonishingly shitty. Nobody appears to have given a single fuck about any part of this, from the game, to the properties, to the experience, to the art; I cannot believe a company put this out in current year.
