Social interaction in VR is still super weird. Something about it tends to make people much more... human? It might help that Echo Arena has a remarkable system for animating arms and bodies in a realistic way. When Jeff looks at his watch, and the game approximates his arm's position with only the positional data from the controller, that's an incredible piece of programming.
I just had an idea; for the squad match they should've had team Giant Bomb break up, put one member in charge of each squad, and then fill them out with randos. See whose squad can make it to the top, giving each squad an identity. Also, inviting Will's team was just unfair.
@steveurkel: You can get a PCIe SATA controller card and sock that in your motherboard for more SATA hookups, they're not particularly expensive or difficult. It'll play hell with your cable management though.
