The RB2 kit is only around $150 now. With the rest, you could still get a DS. Don't know about games though. :)

Paul was in Vegas at the time, and Jeff was actually off set. We hung out with them for a good 45 minutes just enjoying the show floor before the interview. It was a great time.

Please help.  A giant, over-sized, depressed dog has been following me everywhere I go. I have walked from Seattle to Portland and this fucking dog is still following me. I've walked down interstates, expressways and highways ... it just keeps following me. The worst of it all is that IT JUST CONTINUOUSLY STARES AT ME!!!  PLEASE... HELP!!!!!!

I used to encounter the same issue. Have you recently replaced your 360, or is this a different 360 from the one you purchased it on originally? I had to bring over my licenses which you can do on Xbox.com -- It's not too hard, but you can only do it once per year.  Try it out.

Hey guys,

Just making it aware that I completed my long overdue, jam-packed review of Mirror's Edge. It was a lot of work putting together a text review AND  video review, but man that page looks pretty afterwards. Something that I wanted to do was make my video review subjective by including what I liked, and then keeping my text review style the same -- objective. I didn't really try for it this time around, because I don't think I'd make an example of the idea too well, but I may try a little harder next time. One thing that killed me was the lack of my capturing device not working, or at least, me missing the software (Gamebridge's Intervideo) for it. I can't find the CD anywhere, and Adaptech has a terrible, disastrous website. So I apologize for a bunch of trailer footage, but it's all I had to work with!

Important Note: The game technically received a three out of five, but something goofed when I posted the review. Now, because it's Giant Bomb, I can't edit or remove/repost my review. Talking with a mod right now to see how I can get it fixed.

Now ... what to play next? :)

So this was mine and Jim's response to Giantbomb's question of the week that involved showing off your gaming rooms. That night, we decided to stay up until the depths of the night (or the beginning of the morning?) by making a terribly amazing video. Unfortunately due to its embarrassment, violent humor, and mischief, it was never posted in the answers video on the following Sunday. Instead, an eight minute long video took our place instead. There was a surprising amount of elbow grease put into the video, so it was pretty upsetting to see our "hard work" put up on the net for everyone to see.

I'm here to ruin that.

Anyway, we made it months ago ... so enjoy? This is really just to update this 'ol blog, since I'm currently taking my sweet ass time to get any writing done. Expect some Mirror's Edge (that game's new, right?) schtuff tomorrow/Friday. Debating on what to play next -- my options are very, very, very, extremely, very, overwhelmingly broad.

We're goofs.

One of my favorite journalists in the industry kind of took an awkward path over this week. With the release of his "Your Childhood Sucks" video, he's re-sparked a lot of controversy. We all know Final Fantasy VII is probably one of the most over-hyped games off all-time -- it's repeatedly on top ten lists for the majority of gamers, and often made a mockery by up-to-date gamers. That said, just because its popular doesn't make it bad. Sure, that's fine for N'Sync, but were talking about a fifty-hour epic that has truly paved the way for some other RPG's out there. Personally, I'm not sure if FFVII would land even near a Top 10 list of today because, for me, it's lost its charm a little over the course of time. Back then, however, it was a game that gave me the whole "I love playing games" feeling.

So, who was his video directed to, and what service did it provide? There were little means to rant about a twelve year old game, and I think for just this moment, he kind of joined "the culture on the internet." I just don't understand why he would pull such a dangerous stunt to critically punish a game in ... retrospect?

If gaming journalists are starting to do that now, then Super Mario Bros be damned.

(Also, video above contains my thoughts as well, and not just Sessler's video).

Hey guys,

So tomorrow is my last day of class, and I've been looking forward to it for the past few weeks. Instead of hardcore studying, I decided to spend some time writing for a second. I've been saying for awhile that my summer is going to be used to start writing about video games again, since I couldn't do it while in college. Unfortunately, I won't be able to join a website or anything like that -- summer is far too short. Instead, everything will be going on this miserable blog. This brings me to my obviously-in-the-title question: what do you guys look for in a video game blog?

Personally, I'm a fan of quick lists, high quality videos, and reviews. However for videos, I cannot stand long-winded vlogs that go on forever. Remember back when they had three minute intros? Yeah, that was pretty bad. I come to ask this because I've noticed once semi-popular bloggers, including myself, seeing some dead traffic. I know this result is because, well, you need to meet people in order to gain traffic. View counts have not really ben what I'm about, but it's nice to have read-worthy content actually being visited. So yeah, tons of stuff coming this way soon, but what do you guys look forward to? What keeps you coming back, and why?

Thanks!

Games Day Report: The Baltimore Games Day event was amazing. I was fortunate to meet and greet with Paul Barnett and Josh Drescher of Mythic Entertainment. Also, lots and lots of WAAAAAAGH screamin' (friend lost his voice)! However, the day was ruined for me at one point when my camera's battery decided to die within an early 30 minutes, so I didn't obtain any interesting footage. Funny enough, I have video of me scoring an interview with Josh Drescher, but not the actual interview (remember about two sentences ago when my camera died? Yeah, I was rightfully pissed off). I may post something extremely small later on, but I highly doubt it. Oh well, I'll talk to them at PAX '09.

As this was uploading around 3AM I managed to fall asleep, so here we go. Past closing my eyes for awhile in the video, you can see how every time I squint it almost looks like I'm going to fall asleep. Yeah, I was pretty tired.  I love how I say it's going to be short, but it winds up being the opposite. That's why I enjoy how I edit around things -- this video was originally over fourteen minutes! I cut it down for your sake. Anyway, I will probably have little updates until the Games Day Video rolls around, which I plan to edit all cool like ... or somethin'. Stay tuned for that!

Enjoy.
