I'm on my way to the farm and just left the house where the guy I met in Jail died. Now I'm presented with a choice of driving down the road or taking a different path on foot.
I just don't want to miss any collectibles by taking the wrong path. I assume they wouldn't make you miss manuscript pages or anything but they're already making people play through the whole game twice to get all the pages so they might do something annoying like that. If it really doesn't matter, which way is more fun?
Why do you care so much if a console 'becomes obsolete'? It doesn't matter. I was playing a NES a few weeks ago. Its still enjoyable, which is the only thing that matters. Microsoft aren't even thinking about a new console, no one is. Even when they are eventually, years from now, announced, they'll still be years away. Plus theyre just bringing out Natal, which they wouldnt do if they were planning on having a new Xbox soon. You have nothing to worry about. As for it not working, thats a risk we take every day with the 360. Hell, even my PS3 just froze one day for no apparent reason and hasn't worked since.
About 99.9% of the time, the game is exactly the same on each console. Obviously this does not include handhelds or the Wii. Or when a game thats released on say Xbox 360 and original Xbox, obviously there will be differences there. But like I said, 99.9% of the time, there is no difference. People have to play it on one, thats all there is to it. No ones going to play it on both, that would be pointless. Usually its either randomly chosen or because they like the controler more or they just know more people with that console
