I know everyone's always cynical in the comments, but is anyone else kind of excited for it? I think it has potential...

...then again, I said that for the Wii...

I am beyond excited but unlike the Wii this thing actually has quite a few games i am interested in at launch. Monster Hunter, Zombie-U, Bayonetta 2, Nintendo Land (yes i enjoyed what i played at E3), New Mario and Pikmin i am all pumped for. And all these are what? Within launch window?

Monster Hunter isnt until March and its the only thing Im remotely interested in here. Im afraid that they might have sucked me in with the MH announcement, but I really dont want to spend money on a WiiU atm. I guess I have until then to see what options I have on the Monster Hunter front and if the WiiU provides anything else worthwhile to me in the near future. /sigh

Ive kinda given up on worrying about the game. I will sit back and try to forget about it, and hopefully it releases without too much trouble and hopefully it has the magic of a team ICO game and doesnt feel like a troubled project. Until that time Ill just focus on other stuff.

Hopefully The Last Guardian is a final great epic for Ueda and the Ico "series". Hopefully. Of course I will continue to follow whatever else he works on.

@bonesquad: Foo Fighters - Wasting Light absolutely my favorite album of the year. So sad to see no one else even give it a mention.

edit: saw someone else mention it, felt a little better lol.

Just figured I would make it clear for anyone who might be wondering, the beta going on right now is just the Friends and Family phase. Blizzard decided to bring it back for Diablo 3 and without an NDA.

The public closed beta has not started as of this post, although many feel it will likely begin starting early this week (we dont really have any way of knowing that though).

Also, just because you click the opt-in on your account doesnt mean you will get in. Blizzard is going to be sending invites from a very large pool of people and realistically you have a very small chance of getting in :)

I know this info might seem obvious to many but I know alot of people that arent closely following the beta status while they are still interested in it so I thought I would post this here. Good luck to everyone hoping to get in!

There is an AH that doesnt rely on real cash so I dont mind. In fact if I end up getting into d3 like I did d2 it would be kind of interesting to be able to make some cash on rare items I find. I am intrigued at the moment. We will see where this goes from here.

edit: Man I feel like some of you are forgetting this is a Diablo game. You can solo this game from start of finish and see the entirety of the content with just a couple friends. In an MMO environment where everything is far less personal I might understand but this isnt WoW no matter how much people try to say it is. Its all a moot point anyway considering this crap happens whether developers embrace it or not. Blizzard is simply meeting it full on and seeing how they can influence such a strange market. And I'm interested to see where it goes with Blizzard running the show.
