PlayTV is basically a DVB-T for your PS3. It allows you to record TV through Schedule so it'll record a show to your PS3 for you to watch whenever you feel like. They've been around for a good while now but from what I have heard PlayTV is pretty good. I'll be picking one up, don't watch a great amount of TV but when I do I often don't feel like watching TV or its on at a weird time for me. So I will be able to record it to my PS3's harddrive to watch whenever I feel like it.

Its a simple concept really, you can also pause LIVE TV and it'll record whats happening, then once you play it again you won't miss a thing!

Don't rely on Metacritic thats for sure.

Though I don't like the Star system currently used for GB. Isn't specific enough as some folk believe 3 stars is a very bad score for a game when it simply isn't. I do think a more specified system needs to be used.

Are they scoring Mercs 2 on new stuff? or are they simply comparing it to current games?

I don't like reading reviews, often I find reviews some of the most deluted drivle ever and usually only follow a select bunch of reviewers (aka Giantbomb.com). But my American mate started sending me some links for reviews the last week and reading them I have.... well been surprised at how some of the reviews have come across. It seems to me that the reviewers don't understand what Mercs 2 is about, its not about a deep storyline, its not about realism, its all about mindless blowing crap up. Reading and seeing everything I have of this game, it seems obvious that its Identical to the original mission based and I loved that. Yes it did become repetitive but you simply would stop playing, take a break or play another game and play again.... suddenly remembering what a great game it was. Thats what Mercs is.... its FUN! nothing else nothing special its FUN. To be fair some reviewers have clearly seen this as a game that is for fun, not a game for you to question existance or anything else thats to deep. I don't usually get angry at reviews but reading some clearly got my blood boiling. I'll give em the bugs, but GTA4 had bugs everywhere yet still got some amazing scores...... so I'll be fair on the reviewers there.

Well, my American mate had the game Sunday. Haven't spoken to him since and all he as sent me was a Windows Live Message saying ''Loving Mercs 2'' which I'd take as a good sign. Just be careful with reviews folks, take em with a pinch of salt because Mercs is one of those games that you could end up loving... or hateing. Knowing the original so well I know what I'm going to be enjoying come Friday! :)

I need some helpful advice on something I have been considering for quite a bit of time but am still very unsure about doing. I have consider picking up an American XBOX 360 to use where I live in the UK. Now for one I'm not 100% on certain aspects of it so I was really hopeing some of you more knowledgable 360 folks could help me a little. Especially those who may have done something familar. Basically I have had my PAL XBOX 360 since the console launched in Europe and its been a fantastic console, never ever had any problems with it *Touch Wood* and I have fitted it with the 120GB HDD. But of course the 360 is region locked, which means more then often us PAL users get the short end of the straw with specific games (I'm looking at you HMX) and theres quite a few games that either have absolutely no European release date at all or if they do, they won't see the light of day till sometime 2009. As I said this is still being considered, but I was wondering how my gamertag would work if I purchased a US XBOX 360? you see I currently have a gamertag on my current console that I of course would like to keep but I'm unsure how the 360 handles using one gamertag on two XBOX 360's. Of course I don't want to stop using the PAL console as I have many PAL games in my collection which would mean me using two consoles on one gamertag..... which I believe would cause some issues because the HDD is set to stop you using one Gamertag on two consoles. I have heard of a method to do with the memory card tho I haven't really looked into it yet. I know UK or Europe folk have purchased US XBOX 360's but I suspect they started a whole new gamertag to do so and require them to get all there games through something like PLAY ASIA to import the US versions of the games. because of region locking.

So if anyone knows some good info on the matter concerning gamertags on two consoles I would appriate it, and it anyone as actually bought a US XBOX 360 console and live in the UK/Europe I would welcome any thoughts on the matter. As I said I'm currently considering this, I have been offered a new 360 at a very good price (the original not elite) but don't want to take the risk if it clearly isn't going to work around my gamertag.
