I've have been a gamer for as long as I can remember. I was probably at least 6 or 7 when I played my first video game, and it was probably the Mario Bros game on the Nintendo 64. Since then I've been playing games like: Assassin's Creed, Darksiders, MORTAL KOMBAT, Soul Calibur, Call of Duty, Splinter Cell, Castlevania, Super Smash Bros, Mario Bros, Megaman X, Zero, Star Force, Battle Network, Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, and a bunch of others.

I've been hearing a lot of things about Resident Evil, Dead Space, Dark Souls, Mad World, Dragon Age and are they worth playing? Plus if they're are any other good games worth mentioning that be good to know cause I want to play a new franchise and I don't want to buy a crappy game.

None of those are terrible.

MadWorld is an awfully boring, tedious, challenge-free beat 'em up with mediocre controls. Resident Evil controls like absolute garbage and isn't scary in the least (the GameCube remake looks incredible though). Don't bother with those.

Dead Space and Dark Souls are fun though.

Dark Souls is the best and worst thing that can ever happen to you as a gamer.

Resident Evil, Dead Space and Dragon Age are things I like.

Resident Evil - the remakes are great, and so is RE4. RE1, RE2 and RE3 are also awesome, still they are probably too old to be appreciated by people who started playing at the N64. Unless you like to play co-op, forget about RE5.

Depends on the Resident Evil. 4 is brilliant, 5 is still really good but lost it's horror theme. Dead Space 1 and 2 are amazing and play similarly to Resident Evil but keep the horror. Dragon Age is constantly praised by many RPG fans, the sequel not so much but to each his own.

Also I recommend the Gears of War series if you have a 360.

@mcderby4: I play Gears of War, and its very challenging to me. I like it though. Haven't beaten the original and havent played the sequels yet. It kinda sounds like Resident Evil is kinda a hit and miss.

And i have played Resident Evil 4 for the Wii once but I got my assed kicked a lot.

Depends on which Resident Evil. The earlier ones can be enjoyable in an "oh my god, this is so bad" sort of way.

I have nothing to say about the other games.

Resident Evil 4 is an amazing experience that everybody should make room for.

True, but I figured he was talking about the first Resident Evil.
