Being controversial is his method of marketing himself. As an analyst he is one of many and they all are making predictions (read: guesses). By doing so doing loudly and obnoxiously his name is well know and he gets contracts and therefore money.

Yes and these certain people have a diagnosis and are in therapy. At this point expect to be taken seriously.

OP you seem to be a typical adolescent in puberty. It will go away, son, no worries.

And yes it is typical to self-diagnose all sorts of neuroses and all other issues in that age too (it makes you special!) - you will get a good laugh out of it when you are older.

I feel for the employees. The management however has only itself to blame.

For me it has nothing of the feel or style of the first games, MP3 is like the wannabe hipster cousin of the lot. But no big deal - I simply won't buy it as it does not interest me.

The "fated conflict" is something I'm going to have to call bull on unless he shows some data(..)

I find this quite silly and this mindset is what bars you from enjoying the ending. Quite In the same vein is the comment of someone I read elsewhere "It did not let me argue with the starchild! His reasonings were bullshit!" in fact.

Firstly: Do you think an exposition on how exactly all this would mechanically take place, a barrage of techobabble, would not have completely killed the flow of the ending while being completely irrelevant to the message it tries to convey? (and yes it is kind of a rhetoric question as it seems you would prefer a horrible exposition :P)

Secondly: Why is it so hard to accept the starchild as a transcendent, godlike being that is capable of these feats? It is one thing to be a scepticist in real life, it is quite silly in a narrative environment, particularly so if your dialogue partner is the voice of the "creator race" of it. For him to go "sorry Player1, I hope you accept my reasons and here see a study that I can actually do these things I claim and here is how I will do them and here is the justification why I do it" is laughable and horribly beneath him - killing the mood completely.

It does not have to be viable or conceivable by real world standards - it is a fictional universe where the writers can set any standards they feel fit. The starchild/creator stand-in is omniscient in this universe - the conflict between synths and organics is fated and inevitable. Their powers are god-level so they can fuse synths and organics. You break the cycle and bring salvation to all sentient life forms. Simple, beautiful and emotionally powerful.

I just spammed Recruit packs to get all standard weapons to X the first several 100k. Most efficient, very fast to do and the stats are really much better than higher grade weapons on rank 1. Additionally it saves you the hassle of unlocking recruit tier gear on your expensive packs. When I see people with a N7 rating of several hundreds with rank 1 or 2 weapons I just shake my head.

Synthesis is a complete slap in the face to the entire series with themes of choice and individualism and diversity, and forcing homogeneity across the entire galaxy

You get a new synth/organic race with all the individualism innate to every race in the ME universe. You merge the biological setups of organics and synths into an evolved hybrid - you do not create a hive-mind or collective.
