I've never liked the current PSP, and whenever it comes up, I mention how it would do better without the UMD.  I don't see anything about retention of the Memory Stick slot, nor can I tell from the photos.  I could see if they ditched the MS slot to prevent modding/ piracy, but that would be a deal breaker for me (if I were in the market for another wasted portable system).

A hard 16 GB limit would be horrible for a download-only system.  I would gladly buy games on Memory Stick instead of UMB or download.  Even dedicating a store-bought stick per game would be alright.

As for the joystick, that's a step in the right direction.  Having two might not be practical for this form factor.  The mechanism to have the sticks protract when the device is slid open actually wouldn't be that complicated.  Taller like the Dual Shock might make having two sticks work better.

I still have some Game Fuel sitting around the basement.  It was really bad, but it's like how alcohol tastes bad - for some reason, people like to drink it.  I'm going to go drink one right now in celebration!  WHOOO!!

Also, do you think the blue one will be like Pepsi Blue?  This would be the most epic comeback of food-products-that-only-some-people-liked ever.

Can someone explain to the animators over there that a bike tilts with the rider's shift in weight?  That girl zips off on it perfectly upright for the duration of her ride.

Pretentious comments aside, I've kept an eye on GiantBomb since the whole Gamespot ordeal, and I'm enjoying it because of stories like these.

Ah, I like the idea of this game.  I got into 1942 pretty late in the product cycle, and 2142 was atrocious (there were also only 12 servers up last time I checked).  Eventually they'll run out of WWII years, but it feels like it's been long enough to refresh the series.

I wasn't very satisfied by GTA IV, and the downloadable content doesn't look worth any price.  The game was fun, and I certainly enjoying playing through to the end.  The multiplayer modes were boring, dare I say.  Amidst all the impressive graphics and realism, the game lost something that previous installments had.  GTA III was called a "Mafioso Masterpiece" -- it was truly epic and didn't take itself too seriously.  Successive games added to and, in some aspects, improved upon that.

GTA IV does not have a "spirit" I'd like to see added to.  I would rather wait two more years for Rockstar to rethink what makes a Grand Theft Auto game fun (hint: it doesn't involve slippery vehicle controls) than see an oversaturation of the franchise to appease the "gamers" who list their favorite games as "Halo, Madden, Guitar Hero..."
