Games I've completed in 2014

I didn't do this for 2013, even though I was pretty prolific in my game playing. I'm going to be way better about it this year.

  1. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective

  It was pretty good. It didn't grab me plot-wise the way the Phoenix Wright games did, and a lot of times I felt that watching the animations unfolded a little too slowly, especially when replaying a puzzle for the sixth or seventh time, but it had an extremely charming cast of characters and the plot went in enough bizarre directions to create a strangely satisfying ending.

  Extremely clever, made me feel smart. Excellent meta-narrative, strong horror elements, intriguing prose.

  3. Year Walk

  Completed 1/8

  Not nearly as good as Device 6, but still a pretty good short little horror adventure, with some interesting ideas. My favorite puzzle was when you had to force the sliding from snapping back, very clever stuff that plays with your perceptions of iPhone hardware.
