"Hey guys, I have two amazing ideas to make us a ton of money!"
"Really? Speak up, fellow developer."
"Okay, first, we won't launch as a free-to-play title (and of course not as a one buy - get everything title either), instead we'll start with a 20$ price tag and just "gift" players some real-money-currency."
"Sounds great, what's next?"
"We hide one of the game's most important mechanics, the crafting, behind the worst puzzles imaginable to man."
"You can't mean...?"
"Yes, it's sliding puzzles. But here comes the part that makes it all worthwhile: We'll let players bypass the puzzles by using the real-money-currency."
"You are a genius! Long live communi...I mean capitalism!"
Seriously, what the fuck were they thinking? This game was something I had kept my eye on for a while, but this shit makes me not even want to play it, if they actually do put out a free-to-play version.
