I'm sick and tired of the bitching and defending of this change.  
 
It's a reboot that is separate from the main series and will not replace it.  At least that's what I have gathered from the devs as well as visual clues like DMC3 Dante in MVC3.   
I said this before, He doesn't look like a Twilight kid either.  You ever seen the trailers?!,  They are clean and groomed as fuck.  New Dante looks Punk and Rebellious.  I understand people annoyed at the fact that the ninja Theory Prez just dragged and dropped his picture onto it but for the context from what was seen i looks pretty in line with the tone. 
 
And people yelling at us for liking Old Dante you can shut up too.  Neither Dante looks emo.  Old Dante was just very Japanese.  I have seen plenty of asians with his hair style and have not once thought they looked emo.  New Dante is very Punk, not current sure but he isn't the image of some guy listening to Linkin Park and slitting his wrists.

People are taking this change way too hard. You might not like the new look, but the rants about how awful the change is seems a bit much.

Yeah I'm not sure what the big deal is really.
 
I want to slash some dudes SSS style. If they change that stuff up, then I might be disappointed.

New Dante is totally punk.  I lol when people call him "Dante Bieber" or emo or Twilight.  WHAT?  Have you people never seen what a punk rocker looks like?  It's hilarious.

IMO people complaining about Dante's "new" image are stupid. I don't really like rebelious kids if the only thing they can show off is actually their "alternativeness", but Dante isn't just another rebel-punk. Remember, even if he turns into an emo after all, it's still justified, because he will be a stupid teenager in DmC, not a little bit mature. He also had a lot of trouble with his family - his mother dying, his brother fleeing - wouldn't you turn mad when your loved ones would disappear in such manner? 
 
Maybe there's too much dramatism in DmC (hell, I also like cool-calm-relaxed Dante more than some kiddo with a stick in his butt), but it's understandable and I can deal with it.

At least he isn't bald.
