So, I've been playing a lot of this incredibly stellar shooter, and I'd like to get deeper into it. However, it seems like the kind of game that would be best enjoyed with a tight-knit group of duders communicating well and coordinating strategies. So, I'm putting out the call to other members of the Giant Bomb community who would be interested in sharing gamertags and playing this game together from time to time. My GT is Shademonger, and I'm a Support class.

@IIChristian89II: Netherrack will work perfectly for what you're looking for, but make sure nothing flammable is nearby when you ignite the stuff. Thankfully, we just brought back quite a bit of netherrack from our recent voyage through the portal.

Unfortunately, the rapid opening of portals between our worlds has caused a bit of sudden jostling of our respective planes, making our portals ineffectual for an unforeseen amount of time. We will have to use this time to prepare resources at any of the major portals for rapid advancement within the Nether once the planes steady and ready themselves for planar commute. We must make ourselves aware of the new technology we have developed, and prepare to utilize it to the fullest in our future campaigns within the Nether.

So, how does 7 or 8 PM GMT sound? That'd be around 3 PM for us east-coasters and if Fun wants to partake of some mayhem, it'd be around noon west coast time if I am correct. That sounds pretty reasonable all around

So, with Inferno nearing completion, I would like to announce that Saturday at some point, we will be having a team-based arena match. Murundi and I scrapped a bit to get a feel for what kind of supplies we'd need and how the whole thing would work overall. I will continue finishing up the arena and scrapping with interested parties to test the field so that hopefully by Saturday we can have a fun, frenzied thrill on the hill on Saturday.


Now, when shall we plan on holding the thing? I know the server is pretty broadly spread across the globe, so what would be a good time that would be feasible for our European brethren and us heathens over in the States?

I figure if we get any less than 6, we can give Free for All a shot, provided Fun spawns some bows and arrows for resupply chests. 


If anyone has any ideas on how to differentiate teams other than just memorizing who is on your side, I'm open to suggestions. We might just stick to FFA deathmatches until we figure out some of the map balancing and stuff like that. We'll see.

Been working on Inferno, it should definitely be ready for some skirmishes tomorrow, possibly tonight if anyone wants to pop on and do some killing. Will be setting up little huts along the rim of the volcano with beds so that we can set spawn points. Will just have to have a rule of thumb that you aren't to set foot inside of another person's spawn hut during a match, unless of course it's a team deathmatch and a team is careless enough to leave their 14x12 main base unattended. Have a lot of ideas running through my head for figuring out scoring, a lot of it will simply be on an honor system. Maybe people will pick up a piece of flint from the supply chest every time they spawn, and when you kill someone you have to collect their flint and bring it back to a deposit chest, whoever has the most after a day/night cycle wins.
