I sound like the love child of James Earl Jones and Brad Shoemaker. When I hum, heads explode. Not bad for a girl, I know.

Gears of War but I am so royally sick of it now. Haven't really found a theme thats struck me yet, maybe Braid ? I usually don't spend my points on themes, mainly because I don't have any left to spend.

  • Max Brooks - Ever since reading both The Zombie Survial Guide and World War Z, I've developed this weird OCD thing there I have to look around every room until I find something suitable for defending myself against the undead.
  • Stephen King - Most people have said this, for obvious reasons. That guy can sure write a word or two.
  • Trudi Canavan - Amazing high fantasy writer, her Age of Five trilogy was really mind blowing.
  • Joe Abercrombie - Such hilarious, flawed and real characters. He's not afraid to just go for the gritty stuff either, he just commits like a mofu.
  • Oscar Wilde - The Picture of Dorian Gray is such an amazing morality tale and for a book that is 119 years old, it still holds true. It is unfortunate that Hollywood has got it's grimy little hands on it for profit but the book is still has just hard-hitting.

I've got so many new books to read because of this topic ! If someone feels so strongly about a book as to post about it, I'll buy it. We may not have the same taste but I've stumbled upon more then a couple of gems this way.

I have a Bat'leth that is signed by the entire cast of Deep Space Nine and it's writers. A Bat'leth, for those who actually venture into the sun and don't spend their days watching Star Trek, is a Klingon sword. It is the single rarest and most bad-ass thing I own. If the zombie apocalypse ever strikes, I know exactly what I'm running to get. Plus, Zombie blood increases value.

@bpwwhirl that is seriously a beautiful photograph. My heart has offically melted.

I got into photography while on my  American road trip in June but I prefer animal shots so I was only really snap happy when I was in San Diego Zoo. It isn't my camera either, I just steal my Dads D40. He forked out for a long lens which I used for almost every shot, the photographs just seemed ten times sharper. This is more of a passing fancy but seeing the amount of utterly amazing shots other people have taken, it's gotten my trigger finger itchy.

Now I'm going to have to cut up all my hair bands .. Thanks a bunch, I'm now that psycho rifling through the haircare products looking for "dirty Chinese condoms".

Transformers is way better then it's children's toy beginnings. But I do not mean those pieces of shit made by Micheal Bay, I mean the animated movie. That film is one of my favorites and didn't rely on a hot actress to sell tickets. The end still makes me cry, Optimus Prime is more noble then the love child of Mufasa and Aragorn.

Blues Brothers is much funnier as a film then as a skit on Saturday Night Live.  The Iron Giant is far better then the children's book. Such a great little story but it isn't all that appreciated. Watership Down is better as a film then as a book. That Bright Eyes montage is still incredible.
