@mysterysheep: Everyone talking about how awful the PS3 port was is the reason I haven't touched Bayonetta yet lol.

They fixed a lot of the trouble with a patch that lets you install it to the PS3's hard drive.

As a previous multiple console owner who has gone solely PC the past few years, exclusivity has never hurt so much.

I picked up 12 games: Everything, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Little King's Story, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Dead Space 2, Kingsway, Little Nightmares, Hob, Just Cause 3, Darkwood, and Heat Signature. I think I'm most excited about Little King's Story even though I owned and finished it for Wii. I only found out they ported it to PC a few days ago. It's probably the most original and unexpected game on the Wii. Fun, compelling game play and a story with disturbing amounts of depth. A modern classic of the medium that deserves way more recognition.

Yes, they do. At least Samsung and LG TVs do that I know of for certain. Pretty sure in their case it's to prevent Koreans from finding out how much their local electronics magnates are overcharging them at home.

I got so excited for this one, I finally decided to get around to Brotherhood which is where I left off with the series. Looks are a bit dated, but otherwise I'm having a blast. This is the most overtly open-worldish one so far. The map fills up with icons that need tending to almost immediately, but hey, there's neither a microtransaction nor loot box in sight. I think I'll play Black Flag next (in another 3-4 years?) because I don't hear much good about Revelation or 3.

Xenoblade Chronicles (not Persona, I'm not a fan) got me back into JRPGs. Or at least, was the only one I really enjoyed from the past generation. I never stopped liking JRPGs, I just hated almost every one that I played on the PS3 - which was quite a few.

Whoa. Didn't get any, but thanks for this. I haven't bought a bundle in ages because I usually already own most of the games, but somehow this bundle managed to hit a whole whack of games I've never picked up but was interested in, so I'll definitely be picking it up.

Edit: Picked it up. I already owned two of them. Here they are, same format as OP.

Probably not. I don't get out for movies much these days. The 8-month old is trying to crawl away behind my back as I type this. It takes something special to get me in the theater anymore.

I think they're all loathesome practices, but in the end I don't really care because I don't support any of them. I've never bought DLC (that didn't come with a GOTY) nor spent money on a microtransaction, nor pre-ordered a game. If people want those things, that's fine. As long as there are still quality experiences without them coming out - and there are still plenty - I'm happy to spend my money elsewhere.

Skyward Sword is the worst Zelda game. Linear, very little exploration, mandatory motion controls, excessive backtracking, the same annoying boss three times over. I got so tired of this game, I only managed to finish it in a drunken haze one very late Saturday night and I don't even remember what happened in the end and never went back to find out. Packed up the Wii and moved on. It probably doesn't help that I played it on a 1080p monitor as well. The game is only 480i and painful to look at up close on a decent screen, though the art direction is OK I suppose. Having Fi warn you about low battery is the stupidest shit ever. It goes through all the motions of a Zelda game, but has almost none of the charm.

Holy smokes! HD3s are $400! If you're planning on spending that much, just get some Mackie CR4s (or CR3s,) a mixer and a Bluetooth receiver. You can get all that for cheaper than $400. You'll have a more versatile set up and it'll probably sound just as good or better.
