So happy to see you're playing this, Ben! I personally prefer FO1 but FO2, if you can avoid/fix the horrendous technical problems, is such a wild, sprawling game. Since you like FNV you'll at least find something to enjoy in 2! Really hope you'll play through all of it.
Very interesting QL. I built a custom character similar to the pregen Abby chose and haven't seen any of the misogynistic dialog she found. It's a bummer even if it's not her kind of game genre-wise. Most of the dialog appears from you indulging in your psyche so she must have either thumbed through something by accident or misread a line. That "cock carousel" tree never appeared in my game, I was falsely accusing Garte of murder almost immediately because I followed a Physique skill that Abby probably had the same amount of points in.
This is definitely a game where you get what you put in and every woman character I've met has been fantastic and layered, none of them sexualized at all. You probably have to act like a misogynist or hit on all of them to get those trees to even appear.
@undeadpool:Yeah, I've seen that. I don't like Nightmare on Elm St. past the first movie and Dream Warriors and I don't think he adds much to the mix. It's still fun, but there's something very special about how tragically bad Jason X is, for me.
Nimdok's perfect ending is still what I'd point to as the only reasonable "redemption" someone as inhuman as him could ever receive. It's the only story in the game that I'd say is worth playing, or at the very least seeing, since it's kinda shocking how a game from the 90's could handle the topic reasonably well.
Too bad it's buried underneath a middle-of-the-road adventure game.
