Played this at PAX South, liked it and bought a key since they were selling them there. Even bought a SNES usb remote to play it like they had it up there. Just sunk 100 mins into it.
So out of curiosity, overall, how is this game written? I'm guessing the stuff you've screencapped and embedded videos of is kind of the highs and lows, but maybe not the most accurate representation overall.
Is it written like a lot of Japanese porn, where girls are mega shy because a lot of Japan gets off on that? Is it written like American porn, where it's a bunch of juggy babes who just want to have sex because whatevs, it's pretty fun? How many of the characters are believable people vs. idealized sex fantasy nymphos? And/or how many of them are just awful, abrasive people, because boy, some of those screencaps/videos you'e included are something alright.
Uhhhh...it's a bit of everything. Pretty much everything you mentioned is in there in some shape or form, but not too far in any end of the spectrum.
I think what a lot of people are missing is that the dialogue and stuff is kind of secondary. So much of it is resource management and the matching. The dialogue and whatnot are sort of the wrapper and the carrot on a stick is the texts you'll get.
It's a weird game. I don't see why all of this is showing up on steam lately. The audience really doesn't use steam to get this stuff, and even if they did- it takes balls to show off that you've played this for 8+ hours, give you know people on steam irl.
Great line I forgot: Forget about Yellow Fever, I've got Yellow Plague!
