Great interview. I love hearing passionate people talking about their work.

In 2011 I did (or attempted) something similar only in December.
Called it 'Nightmare Before, During and After Christmas'. Got through 20 movies instead of the planned 31, but it was good fun and a great writing exercise. I have them on my tumblr somewhere still.
I watched and wrote about
- Black Christmas (original)
- Tucker & Dale vs. Evil
- The Collector
- The House of the Devil
- Sauna (also known as Evil Rising for some reason)
- Stake Land
- Eight Legged Freaks
- Garth Marenghi's Darkplace
- Los Cronocrimenes (Timecrimes)
- Tesis (Thesis)
- The Devil's Backbone
- Stir of Echoes
- The Haunting (original, thank god)
- House on Haunted Hill (remake because it's hilarious)
- April Fool's Day
Looking forward to hearing what you think about your selection! Videodrome is still a fantastic bit of film making.
I was just lamenting not buying the original (mainly because I would never be able to wear it in public), so this is a great tribute shirt. Still not for public use but I think Ryan would appreciate a lounging around shirt for private gaming time.
Edit: I would also love to see the entire crowd in these shirts at the next GB panel...
Those goddamn monkeys in System Shock 2 still haunt my dreams.
" Getting this tomorrow. Game is badass. Edit: Is Brad the popular one? "Brad is the pretty one.
Super Meat Boy is a reminder that not all games are designed to reward accomplishment; some are designed to punish failure.
Thatgamecompany is one of the most important development teams working in (the fringes of) main stream gaming at the moment. Tonally, the way they tell their stories reminds me a lot of the way Pixar tells stories in their short films. Being able to tell a story or set a mood that is compelling and emotionally affecting using only images is a true talent.
The multiplayer sounds similar to Demon's Souls.
