This might actually be a good thing. I enjoy my Xbox Live membership, and if company's are going to compete at a higher level to get a piece of the pie...I welcome it. There is way too much crappy, overpriced  DLC stuff out there.

They better not make this into another ME2 type game. Granted I loved ME2, but that was because it was Mass Effect, this is Dragon Age. This is the game that promised me a revisiting to Baldur Gates' style of gameplay, and it delivered...and was great because of it.  I even chose the PC version because of the top-down view with more strategic play.

Keep the formula...it is what made this game great and separated it from others.

The  bad thing is that I could see this working. With the amount of followers Modern Warfare has they could off just enough to persuade people to pay a monthly fee. For example, quote a "free downloadable content" onto the subscription fee offering maps and other goodies for subscribers. Let's just say they ask 10 bucks a month, with new maps coming out every 3 months. In this situation they would not only be getting the 15 bucks for the maps but also squeezing out another 15 bucks for just using their services and other odd cheap goodies to dangle the carrot. Unfortunately I think people would fall for this tactic especially if they love their Modern Warfare.

I for one will not be paying for any subscription fee for a online shooter. At least MMORPGs offer MUCH more with there subscription fees.

I guess having more purchasing options is always good, especially if you are not sure if you'll like the game or not. For some reason, I'm seeing someone buying, say...the first episode, then if they liked it, then going and buying a used copy since they already paid into it.

In a way I'm glad. I do not need another reason to play another MMO. GuildWars =3 years, LOTRO = 2.5 years, and a little AoC. I'm burnt of MMOs. But...for people that would like to relax on a couch an play an MMO, this kinda sucks...not sure why Microsoft does not want to cater to that crowd.

For anyone who played Divinity 2 and liked it, there is supposed to be an expansion to clear up the ending due out this fall. Kinda glad because that end got my blood boiling. lol Here is the link where I found out about it.

" It's fine, in some spots theres too much foliage which makes finding animals impossible. 360 players claim theres alot of slow down which I havn't seen. So I guess it's a good trade off.  Also unrelated but I havn't seen any glitches or jankyness that everyone seems to complain about and i'm on 100% completion. "
I noticed a little slow down in parts of tall trees. I'm guessing it is because of the extra foliage. I play it on the 360.

"My biggest gripe with freeroam is players still treating it like deathmatch.  Playing around a bit and occasionally shooting each other is fine, but if that's all you're going to do, then there's no point of the mode existing. "
Quoted for truth. I'm loving the MP, free roam included, but when you have idiots stalking you from one end of the map to another spawn killing you it just gets too much. Worse still, because you respawn right by where you were killed these shitheads can basically do it indefinitely. You don't even have time to get on your horse. IMHO these dickholes are doing way more to ruin free roam than what features may or may not be present. If you grief in RDR you are a bad person, and you have a small penis. "
I agree with you here. I had built a posse up the other night in free roam where half of the posse were level 5 and below, so we were just doing bandit camps and such to get them some exp and a horse mount. What happened was another posse decided to spawn camp a few of them so they couldn't leave the last bandit camp area we were at to make it to the new spot. Needless to say the ones that made it to the marker had to go back to help out the few guys being spawn camped. When we got there the griefers left the free roam as soon as we shot them down. All together I just think griefing just ruins the experience for some people. They need to add spawning options, like spawning right by other posse members or something to help with this, cause there will always be griefers.
