I made it through a 3 key door once on the first guy (where everything moves excruciatingly slowly).

Inside, there is a little challenge room. Each character seems to have a different one. If you complete the challenge, it lights up a dot in the teleporter that takes you to the levels. As far as I can tell, there is no change in anything else.

Honestly, with how much people were saying that you need to experience and learn for yourself, I was kind of disappointed. Unless something amazing happens if you get through all the 3 key doors, I don't really feel like the game warrants all the secrecy. It takes about half an hour to figure everything out. Finding all the characters and what they do was kind of entertaining, but after the third one I noticed they were color coded with the type of block their powers are based on, and it sort of took the surprise out of a lot of it.

All that is fine, but with it being so arduous to get into a 3 key door (and with some random levels not having any within reach or vision), it just felt too grindy with too little payoff. Like everyone is whispering secrets to each other and I ask them what they're saying and they just tell me "Oh, I was saying it's a nice day out." to which I respond, "Yeah, I guess it is."

One thing that I still don't quite understand - is the Asian man's new wife an entirely different person; or is she the same wife he had before, but just Caucasian? (similar to Rob being the same person as Ros, but just male)

They are both white if I remember correctly and they are now Christian/Comstock's religion. Any individual in a new universe is their own person. They can be as similar or different to their multiverse analogue.

There are actually three of them. The first one is Asian, the second and third ones are white. I believe the second and third ones are the same woman, but the first one is completely different. It shows that the only Chen Lin that could survive the white-makes-right society in Columbia was the kind that would embrace, or pretend to embrace, those ideals, even going as far as to marry a white woman.

To add to this, in the first two instances, Chen Lin's wives have different names. The first one is May Lin (Mei Lin? I don't remember), the second one is Sarah Lin.

An easy way of explaining what Elizabeth did at the end is thinking of a tree branch being cut off at the base. All other branches connected to the one you're cutting fall off too.

The only reason it doesn't make another branch, one where Elizabeth kills Booker and one where she doesn't, is because at this point it's all versions of Elizabeth from every possible future going back to that one moment. Mathematically, I think it's kind of like subtracting an equation by itself.

I'm generally not one to post on the forums, but ever since finishing this game I've wanted to talk to somebody about the ending and all of my friends haven't played it yet, so I'll add in my bit on how I saw the final moment.

The baptism is definitely where Booker is reborn into Comstock. He specifically says he wants to go to where Comstock is born and remove him from history, just before Elizabeth takes him there. Judging by the after-credits event, I'd say that there's certainly a happy ending in there somewhere. It's hard to say whether or not Elizabeth was killing both versions of Booker at the baptism, but I'm assuming there's some version of him who either ran away from Elizabeth as he did in the original case or there's some version of him who never even went to the baptism.

What I kind of didn't get was the extent of the Luteces involvement in bringing the Booker you play as to Columbia. Were they trying to set things right and just ignoring Booker's mixed up memories because it gave him a drive?

Also, does this mean that now he's still cracking under immense gambling debt?

You just know that eons in the future, advanced civilization is going to uncover the mines within that mountain and wonder what happened. Then, years later, surely someone will uncover the locked room filled to the brim with dwarven corpses.

Dwarves continue to be outstandingly precise with their identification of internal or mutilated dwarf bits. I suppose they just brought all that blood down to the resident crime lab?

Man, it's really starting to heat up.

What's there to be afraid of with a giant, scaly, web spinning panda anyway... right...?

I don't think anybody minds if you miss just the weekend before starting your turn. It's not too long to wait.
