Man, this fortress got really messy while I wasn't around. I was afraid we would be too successful because of a past experience with a gold laden semi-succession fort. Silly me! Pretty excited to see if we can squirm out of this one.
Here's to hoping the fortress lives long enough to dig into the reserve pool. Always a fan of building huge megaprojects with copious amounts of gold.
The name of the fortress is evoking memories of a fort I passed around with my friends, Stokeroil. Though we never did figure out if it was stoke-roil or stoker-oil. That fortress tore itself apart after a few years of incredible disorganization.
I feel like wherever it is, it must have some way for sieges to get to your fort. The last fortress I ran didn't get any and it turned out pretty dull.
Cold fortress sounds fun. I've tried both hot and cold, but my cold fortress never really got attacked by much and the hot one became immensely powerful because of a nearby volcano.
As for tilesets, I don't have any preference over which one to use, but it is a good idea to settle on a single one.
I'll take a spot in a succession game. I haven't used the new version much at all because I was too attached to my old fortress, but learning is half the fun!
The government probably just wants to use it to devise countermeasures for failing battles. Because the time travel mechanic allows you to go back and redo these situations to get a better outcome.
But it's much more exciting to imagine that time travel has been breached. Especially given the circumstances surrounding CERN recently.
