I’ve been listening since the GameSpot days. Through thick and thin, I’ve had the GB guys in my life for many, many years. Thank you genuinely for all of the wonderful moments and memories, and I wish Vinnie, Alex and Brad all the best in the future. I will miss you guys and still treasure being able to have a beer with Brad at PAX all those years ago.

I wonder if there is enough interest in the GB community to create a Gym Community? It's a pretty stellar game.

@soup_menu: You nailed this app. I've already donated and I still wanted to tell you I use the app daily and it has worked beautifully. The dimmed titles for watched videos was an absolutely awesome addition - but it has started to make me wish for a "Mark as Favorite" button next to that "Marked as Watched" checkmark. Give an inch, want a mile I guess. But having a way to highlight favorite videos would sure help finding old content down the road. But it's beautiful as is, thanks for a killer app.

I'd like to put a vote in for Death From Above 1979. When listening with headphones, I occasionally fall out of my chair.

Wolfmother is good contender too!

Will I actually get the chance to see my ultimate dream realized, and fight a bucket-wheel excavator?!

DO WANT.

Trash Panic has been one of the best play-while-podcast-listening games in recent memory. Like many said above, Burnout Paradise is also excellent.

I would love to see the PS3 get a RSS podcast download system similar to the PSP's, it works great.

"And would have preferred some closer placed save points around the full moons.  I had to replay 2 days once when I died and had to go back to the last time I was able to save (I save at every opportunity).  Either way, Iove FES and am sure I will love P4 as well.  "
If they had done that, you could end up screwing yourself by saving at a spot where you're not ready for the boss and can't go back to Tartarus to prepare."
Not really, for years now with any RPG where it is possible, I keep a rotation of 4 or 5 save points. One might be the most recent, another a day before, and so on, so if I wasn't ready then I could revert to an earlier save point.  KOTOR had a glitch back in the day that taught me not to rely on just one save point (autosave).  "
I did the same thing concerning multiple saves in P3, and I remember having to go back to ealier saves a few times as I hadn't quite managed to level up enough before the full moons. I haven't really had the same experience in P4 - it either seems to be a little more lenient or I'm carrying over my grinding habits from P3. Of course, it may be at a cost to my Social Links and personal stats, but it feels as though there is a bit more wiggle-room to do what you want. I'm 30 hours in, and haven't felt I was ill-prepared for the big showdowns so far. The save points are much closer together also.

I haven't seen any recurring characters, but it was quite a while ago that I played P3. Hope I come across a few (that I remember), though the new story and characters are pretty great on their own.

Has anyone failed to save anyone before the fog? Does it automatically send you back in time?

Persona 4 is truly a gem - great decision giving it a chance. I'm not really an anime fan myself (though I'm fascinated by Japanese culture), but P4 is constructed beautifully. To be honest, I really dug the battles when I first began playing, but found myself being more and more drawn to the story and characters. The voice acting, writing and overall presentation are infused with so much personality it becomes hard to put down.

Stick with it, it becomes more rewarding as you go! Honestly near the very top of my 2008 games also.

Persona 3 might be a bit difficult to get into due to Persona 4's changes, but it's at least worth a shot. :)"
Absolutely! It seems a bit more tightly focused on the dungeon conflicts to me, but still has that Persona charm and is a blast to play. I actually kind of prefer P3 FES's design and aesthetic too.

If I remember correctly, there was a developer diary episode about Dead Space in which Glen Schoefield (the game's Executive Producer) mentioned showing the game to Cliffy B. According to him, Cliff mentioned that Dead Space barely looked like an Unreal Engine game, to which Glen said, "That's because it isn't." He very explicitly states the game does not run on the Unreal Engine.

The episode is/was available on the XLBM/PSN Store, so it may be worth checking out. In another episode they relate building a very specific room for the sole purpose of showcasing a horrid screeching noise the Audio guys recorded in the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit, light rail in the SF area) tunnel that runs under the SF Bay. Interesting stuff. I discinctly remember hearing that noise on a daily basis as I commuted in to SF from Oakland, and it was pretty horrific.
