Games to play while listening to podcasts?

I listen to various podcasts throughout the week, and like to do so while playing video games.  Obviously, podcasts don't mix well with games that are heavy on the dialogue.  Because of this, I usually play sports games, but I'm getting tired of that.

i listened to it while playing fallout 3 and MLB 2K9......thats about it though

Never listened to a podcast in my life... But i mostly play Sports or Forza 2 while listenin 2 music

Burnout Paradise is God's gift to podcast gaming.

It depends on whether or not you know the game really well. Shooters can still be played if you're just ignoring or skipping the dialogue. But the dead certs in any situation are racing and puzzle games for me.

With racing games, I'll wear my in-ear headphones to listen to the podcast, then put my over-ear headphones on top of that to hear the (relatively faint) engine noises. I know, right? I don't know why I admit these things either.

I usually play games I've already beat or games with no real story line, like sports games, when listening to podcasts or music. 1 game I always seem to be playing when listening to the bombcast is Skate 2. I don't know why.

I listen to podcasts all the time so I end up playing a lot of games while listening to them.  Lately it's been UFC, but I don't mind it with anything that doesn't have story all the time or a story I'm not particular interested in.  Was also playing Wolverine and Infamous while listening to stuff this week.

Sports games are usually a safe bet.  Anything that's a bit of a grind.

I usually listen to the GBcast whist playing Call of Duty 4 or Persona 3 FES.

Currently Prey. There's no story.

C&C3 ,  pro evo or gt5 prologue

None. I can't really play a game without its intended music or sounds. The game feels way out of place for me when I try to do so.

Though if you just mean in the background.. I could do that. As long as whatever game I am playing doesn't take that much concentration.

Team Fortress 2, Quake Live or Street Fighter IV are what I usually play.

Culdcept Saga, Eye of Judgment, Plants vs Zombies are my current "podcast" games.

BK Nuts & Bolts is a good one. I collected over 2 dozen jiggies last week alone!

Trash Panic has been one of the best play-while-podcast-listening games in recent memory. Like many said above, Burnout Paradise is also excellent. 

I usually play multi-player games (Shooters, MMO's, RTS'es, etc..) when I want to listen to something else instead of the game's sound and music. Mostly because I don't want to miss anything important on single-player or story driven games.

The Sims, any sports game, any racing/driving game, any online FPS, any MMO. Basically nothing with a story. Recently, while collecting the final few blast shards in inFamous, I listened to four podcasts.

Thanks for all the suggestions.  I tried playing Fallout 3, but I found myself being super paranoid when exploring the wasteland.  I think I'll pick up some racing games this weekend.  Might pick up the new Fuel or go cheaper and get Burnout.

I was playing Street Fighter IV when I was listening to the latest podcast.

For a long while I played Resistance 2 co-op while listening to podcasts.

Sonic Unleashed (Daytime Levels ofcourse, and the Wii), Mario Kart Wii, Pac-Man and Mega Man 9.

Usually I'll put The Adam Carolla Podcast on while I'm playing some Gears of War 2. Or maybe it's the other way around? Either way, Gears of War 2's multiplayer is good for mindless fun that does not require too much concentration in order to be competitive.

Recently i've used tf2, puzzle quest and assassains creed (when just climbing around).

Games I used play non stop with podcasts were Oblivion, RSV2 and gta4. They do not need any mental concentration.

I usually play a game without much of a story to pay attention to (ie. Burnout).

Games like HOMM3, AOE2, GTAIV, and Burnout Paradise.

Course you could always TRY MGS4...

Peggle, A Kingdom for Keflings and probably the best one is Geometry Wars 2

I usually don't play games when listening, but I've played some simple games like Peggle and Plants vs Zombies while listening.

I can't listen to Podcasts while playing games, I NEED to hear the game while I'm playing it for some reason...

Cod4 or Assassin's Creed.. I tried listening to them while playing Mass Effect, that did not go well for me. :I

The only game I ever played while listening to the Bombcast was Super Mario Bros. 1 on my old NES. 

Normally PES, FIFA or MLB 09, although recently I've been collecting blast shards on InFamous whilst listening.

Games that you don't really need to hear the sound, such as CoD, or Puzzle Games. Whereas games like Gears and Left 4 Dead you need to hear the sound because of the sound ques. 

Usually listen to podcasts while doing some mindless grinding, made upgrading everything possible on RE5!

GTA IV, InFAMOUS.

Just run around with a clear save blastin fools and wrecking stuff. Pretty fun and your not missing any story.
