Games to play while listening to podcasts?

Ill play pretty much any game that isnt story/dialouge heavy. I listen to podcasts quite a lot and if im not Im listening to music so I find it hard to play the RPG's that im into. Ive had to wean myself off podcasts (well for an hour or two) to finish up Mass Effect, and Lost Odyyssey.

I don't know how you could play any type of twitch game while listening to a podcast and stay focused on either.  I like DS RPGs since most are text and turn based so you can stop at anytime to really listen to what the podcast is going on about or the Sims 3 because no one in that game says anything literate anyway.

most of the time i listen to the bombcast (and podcasts) in bed on the morning, helps me wake up ^

i play killzone team deathmatch while listening to the podcast.

I've found puzzle quest works really well

At the moment I'm messing about in Red Faction, Driving in GRID and Burnout Paradise while I listen to podcasts. I like Driving games for Podcasting and open world games... I tend to want to be a bit more immersed when playing Fallout or Oblivion so I dont usually use those.

I play Fate, Left 4 Dead singleplayer, Defense Grid.  Basically anything that doesn't require active attention or a passive game.  It helps to have a PC game library I think.

I think podcasts are great to listen to during any kind of multiplayer game.

I can't play anything with cutscenes while listening to it.  It really bothers me when I can't hear a character talking too.  Usually I listen to it while browsing the web or just Giant Bomb.  If I am playing a game while listening, it's a XBLA game most of the time.

Anything I've either played through before or games where the story doesn't really matter.

Plants Vs. Zombies or World of Warcraft.  Although to be honest, I've mostly been playing the Peggle mod within World of Warcraft lately, so any Popcap game I guess.

Peggle is the perfect game to play while listening to any podcast.

I beat Peggle nights 100% over a year listening to the bombcast every week.

okay, im probable going to sound like a bit of a r'tard but i really cant listen to G.B and play games.
i like to be able to just sit and listen to it so normally i'm just chilling which, can be a little time consuming if the podcast is 2 hours long :P

Podcasts aren't good with heavy dialogue games or intense Magnum Opus bloodfest/slaughterfest/butcher games.

i listen to bombcasts while I play JRPGs, because usually the english voice acting on them is atrocious

im playing Just Cause 2 while listening to podcast and im currently at 45% complete 

I've probably played Battlefield Bad Company the most while listening to podcasts. Come to think of it, most of my time in BF1943 involved listening to podcasts as well. I think it's the fact that the Battlefield series doesn't really demand much from you in the same way a more competitive FPS would, so I find it easier to be distracted without feeling like it's hindering my experience. It's kind of a shame, too, because the sound in BFBC is some of the best audio in any FPS ever.

Puzzle games are good. I go through games that I've beaten before and get achievements that I missed previously. The Halo games are great for doing this with.

Persona 3. Grinding is much easier when listening to a podcast. 

I used to with MMO's. I listened to all the old 1up podcasts while playing City of Heroes. Now though I only listen to the bombcast since 1up went to shit, and since I don't play any MMOs, until the star wars game comes out, I just sit and listen to the bombcast. I find i don't enjoy it as much when I do other things. I tend to miss whole segments rather easily.

Bad company 2. That game puts me in a zen like zone for some reason.

Now to update my insanly old, and poorly written, first response. I mostly just listen to the bombcast while I play Tiger Woods golf 2010.

I can't play games whiles listening to the podcast because I can only concentrate on one thing at the time, but if I'm working there is no problem with listening to the podcast.

Civ 5 is pretty good for listening to podcasts. 

Final Fantasy 14. Perfect game for listening to a podcast.

I don't. on the rare chance i am listening to it, im usually doing schoolwork or something like it.

The games I've mostly played while listening to the bombcast are Peggle, Plants vs. Zombies, Minecraft, Tetris, tower defence games and just random puzzle flash games.

I think i put bombcast into Space Invaders Infinity Gene one on Ipod.  Don't think it worked out very well.

Right now when grinding through my second playthrough of Borderlands or while goofing off in Dead Rising 2 murdering zombies. I also find some multiplayer games good for listening when I'm killing people.

open world games work great. currently i listen while playing dead rising 2.
