@doctorsmirnoff: That definitely caught my eye. The last game had just enough upgrades to play around with. Maybe what's shown here isn't indicative of the finished product, but I don't play DOOM to be faffing about in menus.
I'm dying to know if this was a blank check game for Kojima...or something where he just Lucas'd all his ass-hatted ideas without general oversight. Dying to know!
I'm so much more interested in The Discourse(tm) around this goofy game than ever playing it. I visit GB maybe a half dozen times a year, and I came here specifically to get the guys' takes on it.
This definitely looks likes 'one of those' open-world icon-fests. Ben's right - we're in an era of gaming where's there's not much new under the sun with these types of titles.
This game is getting dogged pretty hard by sites I trust . Still need to watch the QL, but the actual zombie horde stuff - which the game heavily marketed itself on, no less - is ultimately fairly minimal? There seems no point to another open world zombie game without something special to recommend it. I want to unleash zombies on enemy encampments and what not.
Hearing about the game's length is a negative marketing point for me, considering Red Dead 2 is on the horizon and just not being in the mindset of spending months on one game. This just seems like a lot of a lot, though I suppose it's not a surprise being an AssCreed game and all.
