Destiny has become the RGIII of video games - it has (a) immense potential, (b) occasionally shows flashes of transcendant brilliance (c) perenially disappoints and (d) every year we're treated to a fresh narrative about "this is going to be the year."

I hope you're not a Browns fan, because I can tell you directly, it ain't a fun time.

I'm an old and even I knew that T-Swizzle song. Where were the EMD questions, though? Isn't that what young people listen to nowadays? (Christ, I'm old)

Fund podcast, fellas, and great to have Austin back. Very interesting talk on Mafia 3. I'm all for social issues being explored in games, though i don't necessarily trust games makers to give those issue their proper weight. We shall see.

I know the way Dan acts can sometimes rub people the wrong way. I mean, heck, my BA is in biochem so some of the discussion in this video did make my brain sizzle a little bit, but then again because of my formal education I take a lot of my knowledge about the sciences for granted. But the way some people conduct themselves in these comments is really off-putting and sometimes just downright mean. Like a third of these comments are just hating on Dan. I don't doubt that some members here legitimately feel like his schtick detracts from the quality of GB's content but if he really bothers you that much I think that there are better ways to constructively express that without coming off like a total jerk.

On that note it also feels like there's a lot of low-effort "lol this game looks like crap" comments in here without any attempt to elucidate why they think that. The game looks very interesting and I'd probably buy it day one if money wasn't tight for me right now. Even if it doesn't live up to the gaming community's stratospheric expectations I'm glad that this small studio was willing to experiment with something on this scale.

I also know my post probably comes off as ridiculously self-righteous but I just expect better from the GB community and know that it can be.

I've followed Dan's career since his Game Informer days, where I thought he was quite funny and had great chemistry with the crew over there. But man, coming to GB has released his heelish id, or something, and I find myself skipping content he's a part of. I don't think he's ignorant - in fact the way he's overcome some of the obstacles in his life is admirable - but I do find him annoying, and don't want him anywhere near GBE full time. I feel bad for even for even sharing this, but as a by-God paying subscriber, I wasn't going to keep shut on the subject.

As for the game, it's going to get rained on by high expectations, but lazy space exploration is enticing. I'm just wondering how much "there" is there in terms of longevity.

I watched Final Deletion and some of the aftermath stuff - ridiculous and entertaining though leans a bit to hard toward Adult Swim-like rando 'look how weird this is!!!' humor.

Also, Matt Hardy's accent sounds like Keanu's English accent in Dracula.

Interesting setting and themes going here, but of course I want to see how it plays, as well as how it balances social issues with shooting up the place and flying speedboats over crevasses.

I'm happy people are into this, but is this a game or a Terrance Malick movie? Give me a simple story told well every time.

I for one enjoy watching Brad make a hash of missions while Dan berates him.

The obvious choice for "Harvey Pekar" - great name by the way, from one Clevelander to another - is to name their van "Smoke on the Street."

It practically writes itself.

If there's another MPP in 2016 I'll buy a hat and eat it. Would like to see the return of the live crowd. I know anti-entertainment is kind of the thing with Mario Party, but watching this in a closed setting again was painful, and not in a way that was particularly interesting.
