I recently bought Demon's Souls and have not regretted my decision at all. I am thoroughly enjoying my time with the game. I have yet to play Dragon age. For me, The rpg itch is being satisfyingly scratched by Demon's souls.

Within 2 seconds of viewing the new layout of the site I can say I already prefer this so much more than the old version. This is great and it is nice to see the site evolving into something better and better over time.

Can anyone tell me the name of the computer game Tom Hank's character Josh Baskin plays during the course of the movie Big? (No I am not thinking of the carnival game Zoltar that morphs Josh into his adult self). There is no cause for this question, I am merely curious and very bored on a lazy Sunday morning.

I'm not doubting the quality of product that is Braid, I just found it odd that a guy who went through the trouble of getting his baby up on XBL would have disparaging things to say about the experience. In that arstechnica article I read, http://arstechnica.com/journals/thumbs.ars/2008/08/08/xbla-restrictions-may-have-hurt-braid, mr. Blow stats that he may have had more of a chance to improve on Braid, (if you can believe that). If it wasn't for the protocols (which seem geared toward big games) that the certification process demands, Blow would have had more time to perfect his baby. I'm sure MS has a somewhat unbalance royalties system structured as well. This game may be getting a healthy amount of downloads, but that doesn't necessarily translate into pure profit for Blow. MS wants a cut of the pie too, ans I'm sure that cut is a large piece of the pie. Steam FTW.

I came across this article,  http://arstechnica.com/journals/thumbs.ars/2008/08/08/xbla-restrictions-may-have-hurt-braid  from the arstechnica site through digg.com and began to wonder just how much it is worth it for a small timer to invest his/her time and money in a game being distributed through a console service like XBL. If Jonathan Blow feels he can barely break even with the business deal MS has created, what is the point of even trying? Indie devs should stick to Steam. Considering the sucess of a game like audiosurf, the choice looks easy for indie devs to use Steam as their platform of choice to get their games out to the gaming public.
