Meh, can't say I'm really excited.
RISEN felt a bit too behind the times when I played through it. And I don't mean from just a technical stand point. It just seemed lacking that little bit of extra something in almost everything it did. The world was just a bit too small, the character system a bit too restrictive, gear a bit meager,  combat action a bit too stiff, story a bit too generic, music ok but nothing special, same with visuals, dialogue was fine and workable (better then Beths. even tho that's not hard :P) but nothing stood out. It was an ok RPG it just didn't shine at anything particularly and just being average it's other faults became more noticeable.

@TekZero:
I personally never had problems with it, but I can see how it can be problematic for people new to the series who don't know the system.
Especially considering the console generation.

Arrr, you just have to know how to navigate the forums. I've sailed them for 5 years, the storms of whines and the reefs of elitism no longer hold any danger to me ship. A true captn' learn to steer past all that bullshit and fish out only the necessary information while ignoring the trolls.

In other words the brain kind of learns to automatically filter about about 95% of the official board posts over time and you can easily enjoy the forums then.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Temple of Trials where you start of in Fallout 2, that place is no slouch and might be quite brutal to somebody who is completely new to the game. Fallout 1 is relatively easier at the start compared to that. :)

I prefer F2 myself in terms of overall game design and locations/characters/options.
But one must really start with F1 in my opinion to know what it is all about from the start, know the original experience etc...
If you play F2 first and then play the first one then it will be a diminished experience, but if you play F1 first and then F2 then it will be an enriched experience.
At least that's my 2c.

For me it went from an absolute "must buy" pre order to "wait and see" what it looks like after release.
After all the disappointing announcements they have made regarding DA2 and the dumbing down of ME2, Bioware cred is slowly diminishing in my eyes.

Aaaah corporate whoring out of my favourite gaming franchises for outlet specific pre order bonuses. What could be better news on Monday?

Considering that Russians used dogs with mines strapped to them, to blow up enemy tanks in WW2, there really is no reason that some1 at some point has not used RC cars to also blow shit up.

My old man actually got me into gaming in the first place.
I fondly remember playing Wolfenstein, Goblins, Doom, Pacman, Deathtrack, Syndicate in his workplace.
We also used to duke it out together in Warlords1-2 and HoMM 2-3 later on. Good times.
