I'd hold off and see what the next generation has to offer before dropping a substantial amount of money on a gaming rig. Are there any particular PC exclusives that interest you?
98% of the "PC Games" out there are actually ports of console games slightly up-rezed, and polished up to appear better to graphics whores who make up most of the PC people.
Saying one produt is significantly superior to others in that context is insane.
Also playing a slightly better looking shit game will never change the fact you are playing a shit game
If a PC port looks better because it allows the use of high resolution textures and other features that current consoles cannot handle due to hardware limitations then yes that would imply that it is a better platform. And it should be given how old the current generation of consoles are not to mention the difference in prices.
@funkydupe: I don't recall saying I hated Origin just that it was not unreasonable for people to refuse to use the service in its original state with its lack of many of the community features that Steam and other competitors had at the time. It has since improved greatly but EA should not have required Origin for its games until it reached a more feature complete state.
It's the games that matter, not what you play them on or how you play them, so long as they're good/bad/whatever you want out of the experience.
Tell that to the people who have decided they hate the Origin service, boycotting games because of it. It just goes to show that when it comes to hate, the generosity knows no boundaries.
Is there something intrinsically wrong with refusing to use a bad product? Origin was awful when it was first released being essentially a rebranded EA Downloader and yet EA saw fit to require its use for most of its future games.
I'm holding off purchasing a Wii U until Nintendo releases some worthwhile first party titles. New Super Mario Bros. U is well and good but I need a Metroid or Legend of Zelda game to really sell me the system.
Personally I plan on waiting until they show something more than a concept art slideshow before I work myself into a frothing rage over Destiny's console exclusivity.
