No offense Dan but I think a healthy wolf could probably beat you.
Most people could not take a wolf, and Dan could probably not take a normal dude. Hell, most people are 100% useless in fights, and wolves are savage, as Brad puts it. One lone wolf could kill most people without much issue.
@davidh219: Critical reception and the reality of something are very different. You don't have to look very far to see people tearing into Heavy Rain for its numerous issues, up to and including its writing. Historically, game reviews aren't exactly a shining example of a true critical analysis, and I'd agree with many of those reviews in that I had fun playing through it. That opinion quickly turned pretty negative once I thought about it. The voice acting was truly sub-par, the plot was full of inconsistencies, and the freedom that the game purported to give the player was nearly a complete lie. Indigo Prophecy seems to suffer the same things, and Beyond, while better-acted than the other games, also suffers from poor writing and a lack of internal logic. And to your point about an "objective track record:" all of those reviews are opinions. They're biased in favour of the game. A review is just an opinion. That's all it is. It isn't unbiased because it lines up with yours, it just happens to support your feelings.
@shtinky: In Heavy rain, how about Madison's entire existence? Her only role in that game is to get naked and get trapped in incredibly disgusting and unnecessarily graphic rape-like scenarios. Her punishment is potential graphic genital mutilation and her idea of a good plan is to get naked for incredibly dangerous people. She is Ethan's new love interest. Her part in that game is just Cage's weird fantasies playing out.
@graf1k The "demo" i was referring to was the tech demo from three years back, in which the supposed main character lacked agency. I dislike how Detroit looks and I'm assuming that it will have the same problems as all of Cage's other games (and again, this is based off of the history of Cage's games), but my main issue in my very first post was about the tech demo, not Detroit itself.
I can't put into words how much I disliked that android demo. It was one long, big cliche and it wasn't even about the android. She had no agency.
Demo, as in tech demo. The one Cage was speaking big about before he showed the trailer proper.
