I loved Assassin's Creed II.  A lot.  And I've never played Uncharted 2, but damn, really?  Most disappointing?  Hmm...

I think Uncharted 2 is one of the most progressive games of this generation. I don't see how it isn't anyone's GOTY, unless of course you havn't played it.

How was Uncharted 2 disappointing?

Agree, I really liked Uncharted 2 it wasn't a disappointment for me but i don't think it should be the front runner for all the GOTY awards like it is. 
Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2 are great examples that show how people forgive average gameplay as long as the game looks pretty.

The animation and narrative give an unrivaled cinematic feel to the entire thing. Also, there are no load times throughout the entire single player, giving the player a seamless adventure that provides great action all the way to the end. "

It's really cool to hate popular things.
I can see how certain aspects of Uncharted 2 would be frustrating, but I wouldn't call it disappointment of the year. That award goes to Scribblenauts for me.
Also, statements like Fucking suck it are blatant flame bait. 
If some one makes a post about their disappointment with a game that's fine, but when you post things like that you might as well slap a sign on your back that says pick a fight with me.

UC2 was pretty good. I dunno if I'd make it GOTY either. To me, there really isn't much separating the top tier games this year...there isn't that one title that clearly stands out above the rest. I'd be splittin' hairs picking between UC2, AC2, Borderlands, Arkham Asylum, Red Faction: Guerrilla, Demon's Souls, SFIV, etc. The only game that really disappointed me this year was Killzone 2. Never got around to playing MW2 yet, but I'm sure that'll be worth putting in the conversation too.

I'll just say that I feel the same way the OP does except about Modern Warfare 2.  That game was pretty lame except for maybe 2 parts, was unnecessarily annoying (shantytown), and marks the fourth time I've spent 4 hours in an infinite ward game running away from grenades.  And the multiplayer is just Counterstrike again.  People love it but I think they just had the wool pulled over their eyes.
 
I loved Uncharted 2 though.  One of my favourites.  The set pieces were amazing - having a gunfight inside a hotel thats toppling over into another building?  Doing a John McClane jump through the window into the other building while the two crash into each other?  AWESOME!

Nothing compares to Uncharted 2 for GOTY. This is the easiest GOTY pick I've ever made in my entire life.

But because you couldn't judge jumps and because of the armored type of enemies (which you can obviously tell apart from normal enemies) it is the most disappointing game this year.  Can record and upload which jump you made earlier which was further than the one you just attempted.  "

It's clear from you list that your a big Ac2 fan. WHile it is a good game there many flaws with it that I won't get into it right now. The beautiful thing about video games that there are so many of them that if you don't like one then you can try another one. You think Uncharted 2 is a disappointment? Fine by me. I think Uncharted 2 is an exceptional game and I feel kinda sorry for you that you didn't enjoy it at all. The funny thing is that the problems you had with uncharted 2 is are the same problems I have with AC2.

Going to copy + paste my thoughts on Uncharted 2 from my What'cha Been Doing blog. 
 
"  Uncharted 2 had an ass face of hype, not shockingly of course. Most of the hype has probably diminished my thoughts on the game as I went into it expecting way too much. It's not that I didn't like the game and that I'm saying it's a poor game, it's that there was way too many frustrating points in the game and some annoying elements that I could see people getting over, but I just couldn't. One being the platforming. It was very beautiful, yes, but it kind of feels like the game cheats itself as it gives you certain spots where you can jump extremely far and some spots where you can't. This ends with you having absolutely no idea of how far you can jump and can't jump which means you're gonna be seeing that death screen a lot, not really realizing that you can't make that jump although you made a jump much wider earlier. The other main complaint is the combat. Not the combat in general but some of the things that happen during the combat. It's pretty well known Uncharted 1's enemies were damn bullet sponges and according to many people, Uncharted 2 had changed that. While the normal enemies do go down A LOT faster, there is plenty of enemies that are still just as dumb as the one in the previous game. They explain it by saying they have "heavy armor", I find that too be complete bullshit. So if they said that every enemy in Uncharted 1 had padding on them, it would immediately be better? No. Not at all. It would be the same complaints and I feel many people are overlooking the sheer shittiness of these enemies. Also, developers need to learn, guys that are very heavy armored and kill you in one shot ARE NOT FUCKING GOOD.

While all that is disappointing, Uncharted 2 definitely has it's high points. The sheer cinematic experience and the set pieces are just plain beautiful. I love them. Also the story, it was the thing that kept me chugging along until I finally quit at around chapter 22. As it seems to be only me and a few other people that are disappointed by Uncharted, I have no problem telling you to rent it and if you like it, buy it."
