" Stupid random jokes, terrible characters, terrible almost non existent storylines, awful animation, and a load of spin off shows with the same crap animation and characters. It's one big money making machine that's not going to stop anytime soon because stupid people think it's funny. And there are alot more stupid people than non stupid people in the world. "
@Evilsbane: A random act of kindness is always great, and you can argue that it's us people who make the world a worse place. The thing is because there's always a risk there.
You shouldn't feel sorry just because you haven't helped. There are many times where you could actually help in safer ways. You can give people spare change for a bus ride home. You can help an old granny lift heavy stuff. With you and that guy alone, it doesn't sound very safe, no matter what.
" I passed him, and right afterwards I felt pretty bad, I mean are we so distrustful of the human race that we can't give someone a ride? I mean I know that he could have been "Evil Killer from the 1001 Hitchhiker movies" but he was more than likely just some guy who needed a lift. "
Sadly this human race you talk about likes to use kindness against you. Look at all the highway robbers who pretend they're hitch-hikers. I wouldn't either. ESPECIALLY if it's a hot girl.
Bungie should sue Gearbox for such a blasphemous act! I mean, you could surely say metroid prime for being halo with a girl, but man, a girl and a ring? God, how could this plagiary even happen in such a civilized world!!??
" Pirates do so because they can't afford games, or that they want to try out games that they would never go out to the stores and buy. So without piracy, sales wouldn't go up either. I could go as far as to saying sales would go down. Piracy, to a certain extent (to a great one indeed) advertises games.
This too. Consider it so you download a demo that is the full version of the game and if you like you it you buy it and if not then nothing of value was lost except a sale for the publisher/dev which is arguable. "
even if pirates like the games they pirated, i would hardly say they would buy them. When they finish the game, they move on. BUT... if there's a mulitplayer which only the retail can support.... then...
I would like to raise a question. How do you guys think about ARMA II's way of dealing with piracy? The engine makes the game go all weird and glitchy and eventually broken if the game is pirated...
@ahriman22: doesn't matter. I bet 99% of the people don't have agility as a major skill. The thing is, it's a bad design decision just to let players put agility as one, or to make jumping the only source of raising agility, or to make jumping the only thing agility affects. If not for the dumb rabbit hops, i bet many players would actually choose agility for their attributes.

Another thing regarding the DRM. A GOOD MULTIPLAYER is the best DRM. You can't play multiplayer in pirated games (i think lan is still possible), forcing pirates to BUY the retail game instead. I'm not encouraging games like elder scrolls or any single player games to slap on a multiplayer though, but there are always an abundance of supporters for these games)
